From 01/21/13 notes. Had this on tap at the brewpub in Chicago; cool bar, would definitely go back.

a - Pours a clear golden-amber color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks pretty nice.

s - Smells of fruity malts, pine hops, citrus hops, wheat, earthy notes. Lots of fruit which I like; very nice.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, grapefruit, fruity malts, pine hops, wheat, tropical fruits, and floral hops. More hops than the nose and no bitterness; better than the nose in my opinion.

m - Medium body and moderate to low carbonation. No bitterness, pretty easy to drink APA.

o - Overall a very nice APA; not overly hoppy but lots of fruit to it and no bitterness at all. Easy to drink and something I'd definitely have again next time I come back.

Neat - a Columbus/Vienna SMaSH beer. Served in a 5oz taster at the brewpub.

A - Transparent golden body is topped by a thin white cap and collar. Glass-coating lace is left behind as the beer is consumed.

S - Great mix of zesty and dank hop flavors, with notes of grapefruit rind, pine, and a hint of marijuana. Malt is well in the periphery here.

T - The taste is similar, but with a touch more crackery malt to support the potent hop flavors. Zesty citrus, this time more orange or tangerine than grapefruit, along with some less intense earthy and dank flavors. Bitterness is surprisingly restrained for Columbus.

M - Zesty, higher carbonation. Medium body, with a juicy texture, dry finish, and lingering residual hop oils and resins.

D - An old school pale ale that I enjoyed quite a bit. I'd definitely drink this one again, and would happily take the mug serving size too. Nice to see the 'craft' back in the brewing, rather than over-reliance on exotic hop varietals and high ABVs.
