12 oz can 3/16/17
Look is golden. Lagerish. 2" head poured into pint glass. Leaves some lacing...

Smell is a little weak. I have a good nose, but just don't pick up a heavy scent. I would say fresh smelling..lacing is lacking in the odor department as well..

Taste is surprisingly pleasing. This was my first Revolution product so wasn't sure what to expect... Floral up front, medium body with a hoppy trail.

Feel is cleanish with hint of lingering, leaving me wanting more..

Think I'll have another!
Happy to see a 6pack
Drinks a little light for 7%
Almost looked it over..glad i didn't

A 12oz. can dated 03/16/17 poured in a pint glass.

Look- Pours a transparent gold leaving two fingers of thick creamy white foam.

Smell- Mild onion and spice with a little floral.

Taste- Grapefruit, orange zest, floral and some mild garlic.

Feel- Resiny yet creamy with a bitter dry finish.

Overall- A palate crushing mix of citrus, floral and spice in a well hidden 7% abv. beer. Another winner in the Hero series!

Galaxy hops always rule, and this beverage hits a solid line drive on all aspects of a great IPA. Nice caramel color, great nose, yummy hoppy finish. Thumbs up!

Pale amber/deep gold body, coupla fingers of head, some lace down the glass... Aromas and flavors in line, grassy citrus fruits with mild pine accents, moderate bitterness, mild sweetness, light-feeling and smooth...

Had Galaxy, Mosaic and Amarillo side by side and of course Galaxy took top honors! Nice fruity tropical nose and taste along with citrus and minimal pale malt. Medium body that finished dry. I love it when Brewers do some single hop stuff and the hero series is one of the better ones I've had. Cool can designe too.

League of Heroes 12-pack has to one of the coolest marketing plays I've seen recently. Anti-Hero, Galaxy Hero, Mosaic Hero, and Amarillo Hero. My favorites, in order: Anti-Hero, Galaxy, Mosaic, and Amarillo. But I'll gladly drink all 12, er, I mean all 4.

12 oz can from the league of heroes mix pack canned 2/1/17. Color is copper/gold and bright. There is little head or lacing. Smell is mild tropical fruit. Taste is slightly bitter with tropical fruit and barely present earthy taste. Mouthfeel is consistent with a 7% IPA, not too thin or thick. Overall, this is a good, easy drinking IPA that showcases the galaxy hop well.

Canned 2/1 from the League of Heroes box. Bronze/gold with a slight haze and good carb, mild carb and foam/lacing that dissipated really quickly. Dank and pleasantly mildly pungent/stinky hop smell. Taste presents with a more bitter hop forefront and a slightly sweet fruity background. Mildly zesty, crisp, mouth watering/filling. A little out of balance but tasty.

I purchased this CAN during a recent BCCA CANvention in furtherance of The CANQuest (tm) & it never ceases to amaze me how many beers are being CANned! I really dig the graphics, especially on one like this, with its outer space theme and vibrant colors.

From the CAN: "Proud Sponsor of [the] Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2)".

The Crack! was very loud, but as the day is in its waning moments, I did not feel like dealing with any potential aftermath of an inverted Glug & so I went with a rather gentle one, instead. An in-glass swirl raised two fingers of dense, foamy, tawny head with decent retention. Color was a slightly-hazy solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose smelled strongly of tropical fruits, like mango, papaya, guava and tangerine, underlain by a caramel sweetness. I should have a swab CANstantly at the ready to mop up all of the drool. I am to the point of being the hophead equivalent of one of Pavlov's dogs. A mere whiff and I begin to drool unCANtrollably. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was very much of tropical fruits with a little bit of grapefruit citrus and some caramel sweetness seemingly thrown in just for good measure. Finish was dry, but very fruity. It was literally breath-taking, initially, whether a product of the ABV or the mélange of hops, or a CANbination thereof. It left me with a taste like a roll of Tropical Fruit Life Savers as well as a slight burning sensation. Phew! I should do this more often.

Appearance - Pours about 2 fingers of off-white dense foam, body is a slightly hazy golden amber color which gentle carb rising through the body, great thick lacing left after each quaff.

Smell - huge nose of floral hops along with strong tropical fruits of mango and papaya.

Taste - Just a floral explosion on the first sip, with delicious and juicy tropical notes of mango and papaya joining the dense feeling of liquid floral pollen filling the mouth, which quickly transitions into semi-sweet drying citrus piths and tropical fruit stones. The finish is slightly dry and light floral chalk, with juicy tropical notes in the mouth corners.

Mouthfeel - A perfectly medium carb filled with bright edges keeps this IPA feeling just short of medium, and scrubs just enough of the slight juiciness of the tropical notes to allow the florals and piths to assert themselves firmly with a light bitter dryness, begging the next sip.

Overall - A VERY good DIPA and one that the floral hop lover must try. There are just enough tropical notes here to widen the appreciative audience here, but this floral bomb ends with some bitter drying pucker that may catch a few off guard - but I love the transition. A floral hops lovers dream.

Galaxy one of my fav hops, so hopefully this hits right. Canned 2/29/16 so a couple months ago.

Pours a nice creamy thick 1.5 finger head that fades slowly, nice soapy lacing, semi hazy golden honey straw color.

Nose starts with a mild toasted straw grainy malt, into hops, a little grass floral, some citrus, juicy citrus fruit with a little orange flesh, a touch of a generic citrus tropical fruit, nice but fairly light.

taste brings some more mild sweet malt, toasted grainy copper malt, a little biscuit as well, then bitter hops, some grassy floral notes, with orange rind, candied orange peel, a little citrus flesh and touch generic tropical fruit, a little musty tropical fruit, touch pine, with fair bitterness, then turns int a big spicy bitterness, quite bitter on the semi dry sticky finish, grassy spicy hops lingering, a little fruity too.

Mouth is med bod, decent carb.

Overall not bad, too malty in general, not enough of the late hop addition for the galaxy to bring the nice flavors and aromas from it, more like they just bittered with it.

12 oz can poured into can glass canned on 2/29

A: big soap white head lighter amber body with excellent clarity.

S: grapefruit peel, some pineapple, a little bit of resin and malts

T: very malty with light bits of grapefruit pineapple and resiny hops

M: lighter mouthfeel a little syrupy on the finish

O: This might be a tad older but you can tell it was quite a good beer. The hops are there if this was a month old I bet they would have exploded on your tongue. As it is it is still a pretty tasty beer just a lit maltier.

Nice golden amber, short lived white head.
Brilliant aroma of citrus fruits.
Amazing flavor of bright citrus especially grapefruit. More of the juicy type IPA. Outstanding complex hoppiness and bittering that lingers and finishes dry but clean.
I really like Galaxy hops and this beer is a great example.
This is definitely a favorite.

This beer pours a hazy golden orange with a rocky, 2 finger off white head. Retention is excellent and there are massively thick sheets of lacing. Smell is subdued, but still nice. Citrus, floral and a slight earthiness are most apparent with some crackery malt. Taste is similar, but much more pronounced. There is also a peppery hop taste in the finish that keeps you coming back for more. Feel is light side of medium and crisp. Very drinkable. Overall a very nice beer. I just wish the aroma was a bit stronger.

Had on tap. Pours 1/3 inch head, clear, gold in color. Taste is honey, lemon, and sharp citrus hops balanced of by crackery malt. Starts sweet with with a dry/bitter end. Very well balanced and super tasty. This is an IPA that I would come back to.

12oz can poured into a snifter. Dated 03/02/2016 on the bottom of the can. This is a fresh can and it shows in the nose with bright, fresh, citrusy hops. The taste like the aroma is deliciously hoppy and really showcases the hop profile as the main focus. Great beer!

A deep gold color, plenty of bright white foam. It recedes and leaves a ring, with moderate lacing. The nose is dank, grassy, piney, resinous. The taste follows exactly, resinous on the swallow. Body and carbonation are medium, and it is a really smooth, creamy beer. Bitter finish. Very good, but middle of the pack in the Rev Hero series.

Poured from can into a tulip glass. Caramel orange in color with light stickiness in the head. Nose isn't that potent but a nice sweetness rises as it warms lending a glow to the hop aromas. Aggressively hopped beer that doesn't shy away from bitterness. Tons of grapefruit bitterness, but a tangerine sweetness comes in as it warms and plays with the malt a bit. Lots of rind. Body is pretty great, it sits on the palette just enough to also be easy drinking if you have a high tolerance for hops.

I brought this ale with me from Ohio to the beach in FLA because it's important to not be at the mercy of crappy beer stores. Luckily, there is great beer available within walking distance of my condo, but I'm still happy I brought this beauty.

It opens golden and nearly clear, with medium fine bubbles. The aroma is a pronounced hoppy malty smell, and really quite exceptional. The taste is also well balanced for the style. It actually tastes stronger and maltier than the alcohol would indicate. Perhaps my can is a little older or maybe they just balanced it well, either way, it really works well - the can should be pretty fresh. The aftertaste is a nice, refreshing bitterness. This reminds me of why I love AIPA's.

Highly recommended, unless you want one of those boring one dimensional AIPA's, cuz this one rocks the malts and hops.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a clear gold tone, with a foamy, matrix of head that rises 3 fingers from the beer, and descends leaving good lacing with solid retention. Dry pine hops on a thick malt backbone best sum up both the nose and palate. Citrus notes are somewhat prominent on the nose, but sour to an an almost kumquat like flavor on the palate (a welcome transition). Mouthfeel is crisp and thin-medium, like most of Revolution's IPAs.

Revolution again makes a beer that somehow elegantly blurs the lines between east and west coast. The beer is nothing jump-out-of-the-glass incredible, just a thoroughly drinkable, solidly balanced beer. I tend to skew away from maltier IPAs, but Revolution seems to mix in just the right amount of dry hops to find a brilliant middle way. This beer is clearly the spiritual sequel to Anti-Hero and Unsessionable...or perhaps differently put, Revolution has a clear style, and this beer doesn't stray far from it, but when that style is a winning one, why change?
