Chicago brewers, esp Revolution please me.
When a beer gets a 4 x the board, I tend to give it O: 4.25 and so in this case. The sum is greater than its parts.

A) Pours a white finger deep head that fades slowly, laces amply, over a clear, straw, golden honey body.

S) Nose starts me with galaxy bright hops, grassy floral, juicy citrus with orange over a light biscuit base.

T Follows nose, where taste brings more bright and blaring bitter hops, grassy floral, orange peel marmalade with abundant bitterness into the drying finish. Background of white cracker.

F) Medium bodied, prickly carb, semi dry sticky finish, nice food beer.

Hop dominant, bright, blaring, but not a palate wrecker.

Vintage optics - rich golden hue, strong carbonation, fluffy cap. Aroma has soft tropical fruit notes - mango, starfruit, a little peach. Great use of galaxy aromas.

Taste is a pleasing balance between some grassy hop & the aforementioned tropical flavors, without it feeling too fruity. Delicate flavors, good oscillation between the bright, dry tropical notes & the earthier undertones. Mouthfeel is as it should be. Finishes with a little bitterness. All around excellent brew.

First beer from Revolution as they just started distributing in NJ. 12oz can, month old. Golden amber color, high clarity. Standard size head with good retention that's sticky and leaves some nice lacing. Very floral and fruity aroma, though I'm not getting the big passion fruit and other tropical notes I've gotten from other Galaxy hopped IPAs. Perhaps the aroma has fallen off after four weeks. Still, the aroma "pops" more than the majority of IPAs.

Clean, straightforward IPA flavor profile that's light on malt. Bitter through and through. Dry but not bone dry. At 7%, there's enough malt sweetness to do the job even with a light, "crackery" malt profile. Grassy and lemony (though not lemongrassy, as it were). Sudsy and smooth on the tongue. This is a really good IPA that stands out from its peers in a very crowded style.

Light orange with nice clarity. Two finger head with sticky lace lines.

Clean aroma with spicy notes. Pine, citrous, bread and earth.

Buttery and light, wheat bread malt character. Explosion of piney, grapefruit, and grass- like hop. Descent balance for the style.

Moderate body and a somewhat grainy texture. Excellent bubbles. Finishes dry and clean with lingering hop bitterness.

Very good stuff. I love the delicate b body and malt palate.

12oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a clear golden and copper hued body, one finger white head, lots of lacing, good retention. Smell is a bit catty, slightly spicy, grapefruit peel, sweet caramel, perhaps a bit of tropical fruit. Flavours meld nicely, balanced caramel and grapefruit, resin, tropical fruit, a bit of spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, perfectly carbonated, creamy with a nice bitter and spicy finish. Good balance of base IPA and Galaxy. Reasonably bitter with a good malt backbone.
