On tap for SFBW at Harry's Haufbrau in Redwood City CA. Described as "begins journey as DBA then continues through a chrysalis process involving 87% French and 13% American Oak barrels, and our proprietary collection of micro flora. " This sour is as good as it gets in my book. If you like sours and can find it, try it!

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled July 25th 2017.

Deep dark orange body color, and almost chestnut brown hue with exceptional clarity. Minimal carbonation rising from the middle, a still creamy light khaki head is created, two fingers in easy height. Real nice sheets of lace as it settles to a thick creamy puck. Magnificent looking brew.

Tangy sensing heat and funk, with a very woody tone that comes out like cherry wood. Fantastic aroma. Hints a little citrus to tangy cherry notes with some mix of berry and citrus melding in between.

Very tasty palate indeed. Mid palate is a rich wash of lemon peel and cherry tones. Excellent fruity esters sitting on just a real neat subtle touch of caramel malt sweetness. Tangy finish with a little bit of spritzy body but not entirely. Rick oak flavors, almost buttery in a way with this carbonation and funk cut that makes for some real interesting drinking.

Solid tasty wild brew.

On tap for the Feral One release party at Firestone Walker Barrelworks in Buellton, CA.

Described as a single barrel wild ale aged only in French oak barrels.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with malt, grain, funk, acidic, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with sour malt, acidic, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a sour presence that is more tart in the flavor.

Had on tap at FWBW in Buellton. Good beer but nothing particularly remarkable or memorable.
