An ever-evolving mix of experimental hops, designed to deliver mind-blowing flavors that break the rules with each new release. The unique revolution number on the label tells you which release you have in hand. Crack fresh and enjoy the show.
Luponic Distortion Revolution No. 001 features a blend of six different hop cultivars from the 2015 harvest, with an emphasis on a zesty tropical fruit-driven experimental hop to create something entirely unique. A wheat malt base provides a clean canvas for showcasing a pure hop character. Aromas of pineapple, papaya and citrus creamsicle explode out of the glass. Resinous undertones yield to flavors of candied mango, red grapefruit zest and fresh green tea, all dissipating quickly into a clean, dry finish.
Luponic Distortion is best if enjoyed within 90 days of its bottling date.

12 fl oz. can, canned on 04/01/16. Acquired a single can of this stuff as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. An interesting new 'ever-revolving' hop series IPA from Firestone Walker.
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.
A - Pours an exceptionally crisp clear golden body with two fingers of soapy white foam head that stays a while and leaves good fluffy scattered lacing. Appears adequately carbonated. Looks excellent.
S - A beautiful bouquet of fresh floral herbal hop presence: bright, citrusy, zesty, floral, tropical. Notes of grapefruit, mango, papaya, orange, pine. Lightly soapy smelling. Exceptionally fresh & floral nose.
T - Taste follows the nose: fresh, floral, herbal, & crisp. Notes of soft tropical citrus fruits: mango, papaya, orange, piney, minty, herbal. Soft notes of balancing honeyed bready / biscuity / caramel malts. Very nicely balanced stuff. The freshness and the quality of the product truly shows.
M - The feel is smooth, crisp, & clean. Piney, resinous, bready, & bitter finish. Semi-dry, beckons the palate for more. Exceptionally light-bodied and easy drinking stuff. Crisp carb. Very good stuff.
Overall, 4.5 feels like a bit high of a rating, but this was exceptionally well-made fresh IPA right here, especially for one that saw such a wide release. Probably one of the best beers I've had from Firestone Walker outside of their rare / barrel-aged / bomber releases. I wish i had gotten an entire six pack instead of a single can. Props to Firestone Walker for this one, i look forward to more fresh hop beers from these guys!

12 oz can. Pours golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and lemon. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal hops dominate the palate with bready malt and tropical fruit in the background. Finish is long and dry. Good brew.

Canned 2/16/16; drank 3/16/16 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, fluffy white head; nice frothy lace.
Pine, mango & honey notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Pine & sweet mango flavors up front; honey notes on the finish.
Dry yet sweet; pretty good but too pine-y for me to fall for.

Top half of the 7 Luponics I've had. Not incredible - stopped buying these.

Not bad if you get it at a good price. Got a sixer for 8 bucks. Very good deal. Drinkable, not overwhelming and surprising complexity in a low cost beer.
