The lead hops include two varieties from the Pacific Northwest and two from the Southern Hemisphere, providing distinct qualities of mango creamsicle, peach ring, and ruby grapefruit.

Can from the Beermongers.

A clear orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is intensely aromatic with wonderful notes of mango, grapefruit, peach, a little papaya, Valencia orange and a little pine. Back to the basics, this smells like a classic west coast IPA. The palate opens with a blend of grapefruit zest, grapefruit bitterness and a little citrus. This is followed by flavors of peach, mango, papaya and fresh squeezed O.J. The mid palate has a touch of dry, cracker malt present. Drying, bitter on the finish, this beer is light in body and moderately carbonated. Flavors of mango and grapefruit linger on into the finish, with a pleasant bitterness. This is quite excellent.

Taster at Taphouse. Pale, clear golden, small silky head, spotty lacing. Gentle hoppy aroma, honey. Taste brings forth some tropical flavors, dry finish, mild bite. Nice!

Poured from a 12 oz. can, and yes, that beer came courtesy of woodychandler. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of oranges, peaches. Taste is grapefruit, orange peels, a touch of peaches, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

First off, super cool can - great graphics but as we say: you don't drink graphics. So on the can it says hints of mango, peach and grapefruit, I kinda wish they would have just chose one fruit to highlight cuz the overall smell and taste is a non-descript hoppy fruity effect. Not a bad beer but basically a lateral move from the original Luponic Distortion. It's a bit like Fast and Furious, first was great but the 800 million sequels to follow were meh. Don't get me wrong I ain't hatin on Firestone Walker - just keep your expectations in check when you read the can.

Top half of the 7 Luponics I've had. Not incredible - stopped buying these.

What you see is exactly what you get! You feel all of those that is written az “hints of”: the mango, the peach and the red grapefruit - how do they do it? I understand that this is made with special Northwestern hops but the true mastery lies in creating such a fruity beer without any kind of fruits (although this is common in the craft beer world). This one is truly citrusy (really citrusy, my wife loves it for it!) in the aroma and follows in the taste as well, reminds me mostly of grapefruits with the bitter white bits left in the juice. It is truly refreshing and does not get overly bitter with it warming up. Light and carbonated and easy to drink. Would be great for a summer evening but does just as well on this late April night.

Very light and bland aftertaste, which was a great put-off for me.

Copper with a hint of haze, little slow rising carbonation, and 3 fingers of rocky white head.

Smells of caramel, creme brulee, orange and some dankness.

The taste follows the nose and adds a bunch of fruit. Its like a fruit salad of fresh cut oranges, grapefruit, mango, peach and papaya. It ends in a solid bitter note.

Medium body with moderate to low carbonation.

I got this in Sacramento at World Market, and am drinking it in Redding, Feb 11th, 2019. Great hop profile.

Single can - Canada so arrives 3 months old. Pours a nearly clear golden yellow with 1+ finger white head. Aroma is amazing - like sticking your nose in a ripe red grapefruit with a tinge of sweat and a hint of mango.
Taste does not quite match the aromatic intensity; mildly bitter grapefruit, a touch of creamsicle (I think generic, not the brand name), faintly peachy - really easy to drink but not the punch I expected.
Slightly thin mouthfeel, carbonation just a little less than ideal. Leaves with a touch of piney hop bitterness. Very decent - though the aroma wins the day.

Hasn't tried a luponic distortion for awhile, but glad I came back to this one. Effervescent, fruity and soft in feel. The grapefruit, peach, pear, mango and sweet melon fill the taste with soft kisses of bitter hops on the finish. Smell is like a tropical fruity yogurt.

Golden with significant head and good lacing. Not hazy, not clear. Nose is mostly mango and light. Flavor is as advertised, with creamy mango, peach, and red grapefruit. The finish is quite dry and astringent and not in a pleasant way. Since the body is a little thin and dry, it doesn’t seem to complement the flavor profile. Tasty, but not quite right.
