From the coast of California comes Mind Haze, a free-spirited beer made to elevate your perceptions—juicy yet balanced, hazy yet lasting, and loaded with an imaginative array of tropical hop flavors.

In the words of Brewmaster Matt Brynildson, “Mind Haze offers the best of what you expect from a hazy IPA. But we’re going about it a little differently, and that’s what gives Mind Haze its own unique signature. We’re finally ready to do a hazy IPA the Firestone way.”

MALTS: 2-Row, White Wheat, Torrified Wheat, Munich, Golden Naked Oats

HOPS: Kettle: Cashmere, Mandarina. Dry Hop: El Dorado, Idaho 7, Azacca, Mosaic, Cashmere

Poured into a nonic.

Pours medium gold and moderately hazed with a nice ample pillowy bone white head.

Aromas of tropical fruit and citrus.

Honey-kissed pale malts on the tip of the tongue. White stone fruit, a bit of mango and lime in midstream. The finish has some resin and earth.

Medium bodied and drying at the finish. Carbonation is limited, but enough.

Interesting flavors but not rock star level.

Firestone Walker Brewing 'Mind Haze IPA' @ 6.2% , served from a 568 ml big can
A-pour is a yellow gold from the big can to a hazy yellow gold in the glass with a small size white head leaving a fine spotty lace ring along the tulip
S-floral
T-juicy NE IPA
MF-ok carbonation , feels full bodied
Ov-a bit disappointing

Pours very hazy light yellow with medium head.
Getting mostly lovely floral aromas, and slight pine notes.
Definitely grapefruit like tastes, wish it were a little more bitter although it's very smooth drinking.
Medium thickness in the mouth and easy to drink.

Overall a very nice hazy IPA, one of the better hazy IPAs I've tried.

Never had on tap. Can review only. This beer is just okay. I don't know if its too much citrus or what but isn't in my taste palette. Not super hazy either. After taste not to good.

Enjoyed this one a lot, highly drinkable without the piney, bitter hops.

Cold 12 oz can into a pint glass.
Brings up a nice white foam top of hazy yellow brew.
Aroma of grapefruit zest and mixed citrus, a hop snarl too. Think there’s a bit of Gatorade in there.,. Hmmm.,
Taste is good. Refreshing. Citrus and hops with a malty balance. But the combo of hops used give this a ‘flavor’ instead if a ‘taste’, if that makes sense.,. same with the nose, a ‘smell’ not an ‘aroma’.,.
Mouth is heavier than I like in a low ABV IPA, and it’s medium-high on the carbonation.
Overall, climb aboard the hazy train I guess.,.

hazy without suspended solids, very long lasting white, loose-ish head, lots of lacing. Complex, balanced hoppy but not too bitter, somewhat fruity smell and taste. Medium boy, clean finish. I like this..

Golden color, hazy. Pours a good sized rocky head with good retention

Bit of grapefruit aroma, but not strong despite sampling quite warm

Big pineapple/grapefruit flavors up front. Pretty consistent flavor through the finish. Slightly bitter finish. Fairly one dimensional - like but don’t love the hop blend.

Medium body and carbonation. Not overly harsh or astringent despite the hops.

A solid beer, but maybe slightly disappointing to me given the quality of the brewery.

I’ve not been big into the haze craze. I have no issue with hazys but the market is oversaturated with them, and the number of breweries abandoning established products or putting them on the back burner in order to crank out hazy IPAs makes me sad, especially when I prefer West coast style IPA. But I’m going to put all that aside and review this on its merits as an example of the style.

A- god almighty she’s a hazy girl. Nearly completely opaque, huge head. The color is a light straw color which unfortunately is similar to summertime pee in appearance, but the head and haziness can make me look past that.

S- lemon, citrus hops, oranges, grapefruit.

T-Not as sharp and fruity as the nose would lead you to believe. Oily piney hops hit up front, a little honey, subdued citrus fruit coming in the finish. Great bitter aftertaste. To be honest it tastes more like a west coast IPA

M- perfectly carbonated and thickness level, really brings out the best in the beer.

O-it’s good. Mouthfeel and aroma are the standouts, the taste, while good, doesn’t do a lot to distinguish it from the pack.

I got a sixer on sale for 6.99 at target. For that price I would get some more, but I dunno about paying full price for it.

It’s all true - my mind’s in a haze
Balanced dank and pineappley ways
Cloudy and juicy and softly sweet
Golden nectar from a hop-goddess’ teat
Throaty satisfaction for a thousand days.

Solid beer! Cloudy look, great color, and citrus flavor profile. Body is somewhat heavy but not too much in relation to other beers in this style. All in all it exemplifies what you’d want out of a Hazy IPA!

The pour revealed a very cloudy and dull look and created quite a bit of foam. While it did have a nice floral and hoppy smell, the fragrance was very light and left the desire for it to be just a little deeper. The taste was rich with deep with floral tones and hops but the hops were not overpowering like some IPA's can be. Overall the beer was delicious and gave you a sense of a lighter beer but with all the flavor you would want. This is one of the best tasting beers I have ever had, especially for this high of an alcohol content; all of the flavor without any of the stank that can accompany beers over 6.0.
