A: Moderately aggressive pour into a tulip produced a bright white head made of tiny bubbles just shy of two fingers tall. Great retention, as it fell there was a distinct line of lacing where the top finished and it coated the edge on its why down to the liquid. The beer is a slightly hazy dirty blond color.

S: The nose is strong with dank pine and orangey citrus hops with a strong underlying malt profile. Toasted bread crust, toffee and a bready undertone. A slight bit of alcohol detected in the nose.

T: Moderately firm bitterness, consistent with the aroma (pine and citrus), that melds in with a strong malt backbone. Bready, crust and subtle dark fruit notes. Also getting a mineraly character (maybe from the water or yeast?) that is slightly distracting from the malt profile. As the beer is sipped more the hop flavor evolves into a more well rounded grapefruit citrus flavor towards the end that works well with the mouthfeel.

M: Moderate carbonation level with a lower body. The finish gives me the impression of a dry finish but the mineral character that I'm getting in the flavor might be emphasizing this.

O: Very drinkable beer with the english malt character and american hop bill giving it a unique character. My only complaint is the impression of minerals that I'm getting in the finish. Wasn't sure if the bottle I had was bad or that is the norm.
