2014 Bottle.

A- Pitch-black body with light brown hues. Oatmeal-colored lace and head. 4.5

S- Tobacco and oak are there, but mellower than the other beers shared today. 4.25

T- Oak, tobacco, and dark chocolate. Vanilla and caramel too. A medley of delicious flavors that are all working together. I get some hops on the finish that seek to balance the beer flavor-wise. 4.5

M- Somewhat spicy on the tongue from the hops, but otherwise smooth and creamy. Sippable despite the potent flavors. 4.5

Yup, incredibly good. 4.5

S - Sweet, loads of barrel character

T - Folows the nose, mild sweetness mixed with bitterness, barrel flavor lingers...

M - No complaints. Nice and sticky

O - Unbelievable brew. One of my favorites. Glad I was able to snag more than one this year..

This beer is damn near perfect, and the only drawback I could see would be the booziness. However, at 13% abv that is somewhat expected, and for me it didn't detract too much away from the enjoy-ability of the beer. At the front there is a dark chocolate bitterness with some coffee and booze, and on the back end it gets a lot smoother and creamier. Definitely can get the bourbon notes from the beer as well which comes across with nice molasses flavor and slight vanilla. Overall, if you don't mind booze in a beer( which lightens as it warms up) then this beer is a great choice. Great balance of sweetness and bitterness, and its definitely a must try.
