This may not be a great IPA by current standards, but in the Utah Supermarket Beer Sweepstakes it's a big, big winner! Coming in at 4.0 percent ABV it's right on the "three two" so derided by out of state college students.

But it has a lot of flavor for a modest alcohol and carb content. Also pleasingly fizzy. As a really light IPA I don't think it gets much more rewarding. Interesting fruity notes. Grapefruit but not much bitterness. It's more like toast with a hoppy touch. It's not really hazy. From the 12 oz can purchased at the supermarket.

Canned 12/17/19
Moderately hazy medium gold - I can see my fingers on the other side of the glass, but no detail - with quickly-dissipating coarse white head.

Smells of fresh grapefruit and candied pineapple.

Taste is straight-up (white) grapefruit, but with a bit less depth and sweetness of the actual fruit. A good level of perceived bitterness , maybe 7.5 on a 1-10 scale, if I had to give it a number.

Feel is light, but not as light as might be expected from a 4% beer. Not watery . Fine, sharp carbonation bite , that fades out somewhat towards the end. A bit under-carbonated for my taste.

Overall, while not my most favorite low abv IPA, it's not bad. It would be especially enjoyable on hot summer day. It does scratch the "I-Need-Hops-Right-NOW " itch. :)

A: Pale yellow in color, slightly hazy, with a small amount of white head on top.

S: Grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple juice.

T: Taste follows suit for the more part. Lemon peel, tangerine, and pineapple.

M: Light and crisp with assertive carbonation.

O: Overall a pretty light and refreshing beer. I don't know if it leaves a big enough impression to stand out in the low cal/ low abv IPA category, but certainly a tasty brew.

Pours a bright yellow, fairly clear only slightly cloudy. Thick white cap dissipates rapidly without leaving any lacing. Aroma is lemony. Flavor is also lemony with a very slight hop bite. Feel is thin but has a fair amount of carbonation. Overall not very exciting but at 4% abv I was only hoping for some flavor so the disappointment wasn't a shock.

Can to pint glass.

Appearance is ver light hazy yellow with the soapiest of white heads. Hazy I guess but nothing that screams ‘NEIPA’ or milkshake.

Crisp citrus hops on the nose, floral and delicate. Not overpowering, that’s for sure.

Taste is lemon and floral hops, light citrus presence, crisp maltiness. It comes and goes in a flash. Refreshing though, like a lemon spritzer.

Body is crisp and light, higher carbonation. Refreshing.

Overall nothing really lingers or stands out, but a 4% ‘hazy’ is a welcome addition to the session market. Might fare better on my palate in the summer heat. Nothing special, but OK.

Found a single and made it part of a make your own six pack. Glad I didn’t get more. Looks cool and smells great. Doesn’t translate into flavor. Very thin with only hint of citrus. I guess decent for low cal and easy session but no bang for the buck here.

Looked quite thin on the pour with a watery sort of dull peach/copper color and small head that left no lace. Nose picked up, as there was a good dousing of hops (for the style) that seemed fresh and lively. Taste was 50% beer, 50% seltzer water. Really, really lacking in flavor and body. This one makes you rethink AALs as being big beers. I may actually try mixing a good beer 50/50 with seltzer to see if it is better than this.

Hazy yellow beer with an epic sized white head.

Smells strongly of grapefruit. Hoppy with a scent of mint to it. Pretty much that is it grapefruit and mint.

Starts out light and fizzy. Tastes of grapefruit. That is about it light.

Mouthfeel is fizzy water.

Overall it is light and fizzy. Pretty much hop water.

Somewhat hazy straw with one finger head which fades quickly. Tropical fruit and citrus with faint, sweet, malt on the nose. Not much of a flavor, more or less water.

Canned 12/26/19. Pours slightly hazy, pale yellow in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is Juicy Fruit gum and light white grapefruit. Light bodied, slightly sweet, moderate carbonation. Excellent amount of flavor for the abv. I could see myself having several of these in the summer.

Way too thin, nothing pops, but yet plenty of acidity. Just give me back fresh Pivo. I will not buy this again, and since my wife also finds this repulsive we're likely to dump the other 4 cans.

I'm actually quite sad as this poor Session IPA will take up shelf space that could've been filled by MANY better beers. Actually enjoyed the flavor profile of the Lagunitas sparkling Hop Water significantly more than this brew.

This one is a light, hazy, pale straw colored brew. The head is slim and brilliantly white. The aroma is clean, with grain and some juicy and fruity hop notes. Flavorful and semi-dry.

A terrible beer, the IBU rating is 17? How the hell is this supposed be a IPA? It tastes like fizzy water with a strange aftertaste. The look is yellowish not unlike urine. The smell nonexistent. The feel is meh? Don’t buy this beer, there are way better beers out there, if you are counting calories maybe beer isn’t your thing.
