A dangerously drinkable Double IPA. Double Jack opens up with bright grapefruit and tangerine American hop aromas. Beautifully crafted undertones of stone fruit are revealed upon first sip, followed by the essence of blue basil and pine. A sturdy pale and crystal malt backbone brings balance to high hop intensity. Complex and aggressively hopped, and flawlessly balanced.

650ml bottle - very classic looking label recieved in a trade.

Poured moderately aggressive into big wine glass. Deep orange blossom honey murky amber color with nice fluffy finger width off white cream colored head. Fine lacing clings to the glass, pretty sexy legs on this fox of a DIPA. Miniscule carbonation can be seen actively rising in the glass throughout.

The nose on this is very reminiscent of PtE I had last week. Piney citrus fruity, except this one seems to have more of a malty backbone behind it as opposed to the PtE I had. Pineapple comes to the nose, fruity, hoppy, floral, fresh fresh fresh hops. Smells ridiculously good!

Malty up front with hop presence, but the backend of this is where this brew really shines through. Loads of pine hoppiness follows the nose. Balanced well with fruits I think, im getting refreshing citrus, pineapple, a little lemon zest. Its not hophead central, but rather very very nice utilization of the piney hops in combination with the malt presence to make a very well rounded DIPA.

Creamy malty texture with a nice hop bite in back - tongue is tingling with a little heat at the back of the throat. Carbonation is just right.

Got this in a trade, so idk how much $$$ it was. All I do know is that if it were readily available to me I would be getting more.

Overall a beautiful brew, loved every ounce of it.

Big. bold up front aroma and taste, but goes down easy. Amber color with nice creamy head, hoppy smell, and slick mouthfeel. This is how a double IPA should taste.

Yellowish color. Herbal aromas and flavor notes. Otherwise, a fairly average IPA. I'm not sure I understand the high marks this beer gets.

Pours a very light hazy amber, ample carbonation and a short lived head. A 12 ounce can dated 9/11/20 so over six months old. First time to find it locally so I bought it. It has grapefruit aroma and not particularly strong. Taste is all hops. Mostly grapefruit and pine. Definitely of the West Coast variety. I imagine it much crisper if it were fresh. I get some resin in the tongue. A hint of sweetness in there too. Overall I think age took it's toll but still tastes good and I'd like to give it another chance when I can get it fresh.

A-orange/gold, minimal head as expected with the high ABV
S-Smells like a a west coast double
T-tastes as advertised too. Relatively malt-forward, but never overly so. The grapefruit and pine stay up front where they belong. Above average bitter.
M-slightly above avg carbonation. Medium body.
O-One of the better WC DIPA's I've enjoyed, despite the SIX MONTH age. Fresh, this thing would be killer.
