This beer appears golden with a orange hue. The head was white and minimal. As I twirl the beer around the pint glass, the lacing and legs look slick. Some of the lacing remains around the glass as the beer disappears. The head has settled around the ring. This beer has a gorgeous look about it.

The smell is fruity, sweet, floral, and piney, but not overpowering. It smells like juicy fruit with over ripe grapefruit.

The taste is extremely balanced and has tremendous flavor. Fruity, piney, sweet, and goodness. It has a candy finish. This beer has a world class taste.

The mouthfeel is outstanding. It has just the right amount of carbonation and body. The mouthfeel is great.

This is one of the better balanced DIPAs around. There isn't one characteristic that stands out. Everything blends well to make a definite world class beer.

bottle date 1/3/14 may contribute heavily to this rating

very good clarity

excellent nose

low head

poor taste but the hops still hits you in the mouth right up front.

hops are low after that probably due to age.

need to try a fresher one to get a better clue of what this beer is about.

from their site: 4+lbs/BBL: Bittering—Warrior, Columbus; Late Kettle—Cascade, Centennial; Dry Hops—Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe .

I wanted this but the age, ugh!
