A pours a clear copper / orange with good clarity. Puffy finger of white head that clears out to a wispy cloud in the middle of the snifter. Leaves spotty lace after each swirl.

S - Citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, pine, malts, floral, perfume.

T - Nice hop bill - citrus, piney, resinous. Malts blend nicely and smooth this one out, caramel, sugar. Nice crisp and clean finish.

O - Really solid DIPA - easy to quaff back. I would get this again in a heartbeat if it was more readily available.

Notes - part of my wifes score from Binny's in Schaumberg.

A: Light golden color with a 1 1/2 finger white head. The head has nice retention and a uniform look to it.

S: Citrus scents like pineapple and some tropical fruits.

T: Medium bitter up front. I am not getting anything following the bitter - I was really expecting citrus or fruit flavors.

M: The right level of carbonation but the slow tug of a dry bitter beer.

O: I am getting only one note - bitter. I was hoping for something that hit on multiple flavors and notes. There is no bitter aftertaste - which is a plus. I don't think I would repeat this one.

A: Golden amber with a thick rich white foamy head.

S: Pine, hops and fruits. Very good smell. Up there with the upper tier IPAs.

T: Very good taste. Pine and earthy. Slight taste of alcohol.

M: Thick, almost like syrup with a touch of fire. Very pleasant.

O: A very good and easy to obtain IPA. It's rated highly for a reason. If you haven't tried it yet and like IPAs, go get some.
