A: Pours golden with great clarity. Two finger white head dissipates quickly, but not too fast.

S: Hops. Piney with some distinct citrus.

T: citrus hops all the way down. The pine flavor comes through, as well as some bitterness, but you can just taste the dry hopping. Some sweet malt in the aftertaste; it actually comes to dominate after the citrus dies down.

M: Excellent, just light enough but with enough malt to give it some backbone.

D: I could drink this for days. Goes down so easy. Assembled perfectly, very drinkable.

Bottled on 12/26/13
A-a clear orange golden color with visible carbonation bubbles and two fingers worth of white rocky head

S-Citrus and grapefruit, with pine hops and some malty caramel sweetness

T-taste is what you would expect with lots of grapefruit and lemon zest, piney, and nice caramel to balance things. Alcohol is very well hidden.

M-medium body, crisp carbonation, bitter finish

Overall a very enjoyable, super easy to drink, very enjoyable beer.

A: poured from a 22 oz bottle into a Sierra Nevada IPA glass, golden orange amber with a huge white head that lingers leaving great lacing, clear

S: citrus fruit, pineapple, a hint of alcohol, champagne

T: very sweet and lush followed by a nice hop bitterness, tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, papaya, stays sweet throughout until hop finish

M: heavy and stick, alcohol is present, higher carbonation

O: a good double but sweet for a West Coast brew, reviewed from notes taken on 3/6/14

A beautiful liquid gold body hosts a inch tall foamy tan head. As you pour, and from then on the real stand out is the aroma. Without even trying, I can pick up the fragrant smell that permeates from this beer. The nose bursts with floral citrus in a wonderful bouquet. Truely mouthwatering even without my first taste.

Fresh ripe citrus bursts with the first sip. The mouth is painted with distinct resin like bitterness that really lingers. Alcohol is slightly noticeable at this point. Bitterness turns a bit more prickly as you continue to drink. Dryness really builds with each sip. This is a wonderful DIPA. Just classic.
