Poured from a bottle dated born on 9/27/13, into a tulip.
Appearance - golden, bubbly, looks refreshing! Builds a nice, frothy white head.
Lacing is spotted around the glass.
Smell - standard great West Coast, hop forward IPA! Citrus hops, primarily grapefruit.
Taste - delicious! Easy drinking hop bomb! Very much a hop forward brew, but just enough pale malts to keep it fairly balanced!
Feel - the 9.5% ABV is hidden nicely, the bitterness from the hops is near perfect and balanced with the hint of malt presence!
Overall - very well done, a solid representation of a West Coast DIPA! R

Bottled on 8/15/13. Bought & Drank on 10/11/13.

Pours a light amber color. Wonderful floral & grapefruit smell.

Initial taste is heavy on the malt, finishes hoppy & bitter, but is still smooth from the maltiness. The higher alcohol content becomes more prominent as you consume.

Not an outstanding DIPA, but still good. Worth a taste, especially if you like malt-centric DIPA/IPAs and/or higher alcohol content.

Quite an impressive IIPA. It can go head to head with many of the big IIPAs.

Pours a clear golden apricot color. Seems a less carbonated that others of the same style. Less than one finger of head. Not too much lacing.

Smells of tropical mango and pineapple. Green grass. Malt sugars.

Taste is hugely mango. I am sure the IBUs are high on this but are wonderfully compliment by tropical hop notes.

Medium mouthfeel. Low carbonation.
