Poured from tap into a pint glass at the Yard House in San Diego, Calif. Color was red and amber. Slight film on the top. Good-looking beer.

Smelled malty, dark and brown, but really had to search for it.

Tasted malty with some caramel. Not a great aftertaste, maybe copper or nickel?

Not that great mouthfeel. Mid-to-high carbonation and high on the hops. That metal taste (copper/nickel) kept coming back.

Pretty disappointing overall, especially considering it was Firestone’s doing.

Enjoyed on tap at Yard House Scottsdale, Tatum Road location. A decent amber that is amber in colour with some Caesar head. A bit sour but some C-hop there and caramel makes it still very drinkable with some citrus and crisp quenching.Average mouthfeel.

On tap at the Newport Breach Yard House location in August 2009. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a moderate amber color with a bit of an off white head and not really any lacing on the way down. The nose brings down a bit of moderate caramel with some slightly-roasted pale amber malt. The taste is really plain with a bit of dough and bread crust. A tiny bit of earthy bitterness. Feel is light to medium. Drinkability is okay. This is a decent enough house beer.

Served on-tap at Yardhouse in Vegas in a pint glass. Pours with a light, airy head. Decent bright-amber color. Smell was nondescript, with little hints of malt. The flavor was a typical-amber, although a little bit lighter and more crisp. It was basically like Killian's and Coors Light had a child. Somewhat consumbale, but not overly enjoyable.

On tap at the Yardhouse in Long Beach. Pours a dark orange-amber with a smaller light tan head. Smell is very malty and sweet. The taste is also malty and breadlike, but not as sweet. Nothing really stood out to me here. Pretty dull and un-fulfilling all-around. I wanted to try it since the tap list was pretty generic, but quite lengthy. This was the house amber, so I gave it a try. One was enough of this one.

Pours redish with some brown, clear, and off white head.

Smells typical, caramelly, and a tiny bit hoppy (citrus?).

Flavor is again typical, chalky and dry but not too bad (chalkiness is my biggest complaint about this style), caramelly and sweet, and low/medium bitterness for the style.

Body is light/medium, CO2 seemed a bit low, overall a pretty decent beer.
