Refreshing beer, middle of the road, somewhat unremarkable. A Firestone fan, grew up in the area. A very drinkable beer, worth a try but nothing to write home about, and yet here I am reviewing it........

Can purchased at Gusto at the Greater Rochester International Airport in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish clear orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells kind of malty, with pine, grapefruit, pineapple, and tropical fruit.
This seems to not quite know what it wants to really be – I wish it just leaned more towards a West Coast style IPA with a fresher and firmer bitterness. It’s a little bit too malty, but still tasty enough anyway.
This is light bodied, clean enough, and crisp, with a good drinkability.
This isn’t the best Firestone Walker IPA – nothing really beats Union Jack still – but I still enjoyed.

So easy to drink, well worth a pick up

Solid. I can drink these, pretty much, all day long. Love the Hop character of this beer. Man, I have not had this before and I know that I've been to Firestone / Walker Brewing in El Paso de Robles more than a dozens times. I've usually spent my money on the barrel aged Parabolas, Merkin's and Anniversary beers, but this is one tasty IPA. I am going to have to look for it from now on. For IPA lovers, it is a "can't miss" type of beer.

Can pour yielded a very yellowish color. Fairly typical smell from an IPA and a lower than average amount of head on the pour. Tastes of the tropical flavors mentioned in the brewing notes. It has a fairly sweet taste to it and definitely feels pretty well balanced. Not exactly my favorite but I would definitely drink it again.

Firestone Walker Brewing Co. "Hopnosis"
12 fl. oz. can "CANNED ON 12/01/21 10:16"
$2.29 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: A hazy golden body is capped by a thumb's width of rocky white foam. The aroma is pronounced. It's tropical with orange, pineapple, and peach as well as a bit of floral and pine character. The flavor follows with additional notes of ripe lychee, mango, sweet red berries, bubblegum, and a light spiciness. The malt is basic, sweet, and bready but a median bitterness of 40 to 50 IBUs balances it nicely and brings it to a dry finish with some earthiness, spiciness, black tea, and pine lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. The head has held up well and I still have a thin but solid surface covering, and there are rings of craggy lace encircling most of the glass above. This is another winner from Firestone Walker.

Can pour- golden straw yellow with foamy white head leaving a fair amount of lacing. Nose is mostly citrus forward. Taste follows with hints of grapefruit and pine. A fairly standard interpretation of a WCIPA, tasty but not memorable .

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Shaker pint glass, there is no "best by" date that I can find.
APPEARANCE: pours a clear, golden, honey color with one-finger white head that slowly dissipated until a thin, unbroken layer of small bubbles remained, medium carbonation and heavy lacing on the glass.
SMELL: earthy, grapefruit and pineapple with a metallic note in the background.
TASTE: sweet grapefruit and pineapple citrus then an earthy note on the finish and a bit soapy, the 6.7% ABV is imperceptible.
PALATE: medium body and carbonation.
OVERALL: this is a really good IPA, I would have again and recommend to anyone who enjoys the style, I enjoy the sampler packs from Firestone Walker, they are performing at a high level.

Enjoyed a 14 oz serving with a late lunch at the City Tap in D.C. for $8.00.
Beer poured clear gold with a very nice white head.
Nose was very nice, very tropical and stone fruit forward.
Taste is a lighter but decent sized pale malt base that is spiced nicely with peach, mango, passion fruit, and finishes with a nice gooseberry bitterness.
Mouthfeel was light and refreshing with all the tropical things going on.
Overall a tasty easy drinking beer.

12 oz. can, best by date 03/21/22. A new one to me from Firestone Walker, acquired a single can as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's.
Poured to a La Fin Du Monde tulip.
A - Pours a nice burnt orange body, some sediment particulate visible in the glass, and a big finger of frothy off-white head that stays a while. Good lacing on the glass. Looks excellent.
S - Aroma is fresh, piney, & resinous. Smell like whole pressed hop cones,
T - Taste is simple, but it hits all the right marks in my opinion. Piney hops, just the right amount of bitterness, and good bready malt presence to round things off. Flavors of peaches, tangerine, and white grape.
M - Feel is smooth, crisp, creamy, light-bodied, easy-drinking, for the modest 6.70% abv. Good amount of resin / bitterness on the finish.
Overall, a nice classical IPA. Drinks great when fresh.

Had this on tap. Was advertised as a hazy which I don’t believe. White head, lace. Juicy and tropical, but still floral and hoppy with a nice bitterness.

06/04/22 on bottom of can.
A: Clear gold hue with 2-finger off-white frothy head with good retention and solid lacing.
S: Strong herbal hoppy aroma off the top with grapefruit, pine, guava, and resin coming through strong. Lightly breaded malt aroma barely peeks through. Faint fruity yeast esters.
T: Flavor is a mix of old school pine, grapefruit, resin, honeysuckle, and lemongrass with newer fruity accents like peach, guava, and lime. Malt backing is substantial and it does have a light toasty note. Pretty clean with moderate bitterness and no obvious ethanol notes. Solid IPA but not spectacular.
M: Medium body but nice dry finish.
O: Definitely a solid entry from FW and a good blend of newer and more traditional WCIPA elements.
