Thin white head, aroma like piney juicy fruit gum. Taste is solid. Hops present, juicy notes, not much on the dank side

Pours a pale yellow with greenish hues and an off white head.

Smells of citrus, tropical fruit, and bitter herb/pine.

Taste is bitter orange with peach and mango rounded out with pine and biscuit.

Grabbed a mixed 12 pack of Firestone Walker IPAs recently for a little soiree that we threw at the house. Hadn't had this one before and there were a few left over afterwards. Advantage: me.

Pours a bright, clear-ish, golden hay color. Not much head, but a pretty looking beer. Shiny, you could say. The nose is fruity, but not citrusy. More like grapes and mango, although the mango is faint at best. Earthy, but not musty. Perhaps a distant pine scent as well? The taste is light and refreshing. Again, notes of white grape and (maybe) peach flavors. The pine kinda kicks in with the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, which is nice enough for some beers, but I prefer my IPAs to be a bit more full-bodied.

This is not my favorite FW IPA by any stretch, but it's certainly not bad either. It's a good-to-very-good quality beer that definitely might scratch an itch at times, despite the fact that I'll probably look elsewhere for more regular consumption.

From a 12oz can:

Appearance: Clear yellow, good head.

Smell: Danky, very mild citrus note.

Taste: Moderate bitterness, body has an earthy tone to it—not quite onion/garlic but kind of vegetal. Not really citric. Moderate bitterness continues through the finish.

Overall: Interesting IPA flavor here, it's been a while since I had an oniony/garlicy IPA (which is good, I like those but not in beer). This was nearing those flavors, but managed to stay at a level that I could enjoy. The cans were not old, so I assume this is what FW was going for. I may have to try again at some point to see if it tastes different.

Pours crystal clear golden yellow with a thick white cap, good retention, nice lacing. Aroma is bold piney hops, some citrus. Flavor follows the nose, surprisingly sweet up front, with a caramel malt backing, finishes with just the right amount of bitterness. Feel is medium bodied, a touch syrupy with adequate carbonation. Overall, a great beer.

Big fluffy head, moderately thin looking golden color.

Aroma is rich piney hops. Bitter resin, orange

Tastes bright. The pine is supplemented by tangerine, orange, butter

Full bodied and tasty.

Overall it’s a solid IPA that fuses east and west coast styles

12oz can, mix pack from Byerlys

Clean and clear, leaves lace on the glass. Smells lightly funky. Very grassy and herbal taste, bitter but not much bite. I like it

Refreshing beer, middle of the road, somewhat unremarkable. A Firestone fan, grew up in the area. A very drinkable beer, worth a try but nothing to write home about, and yet here I am reviewing it........
