Beer poured from bottle into a Pint-shaped glass

A - Beer pours with a thick, oil-looking dark brown, almost black colored body; slight reddish hue around the edges; pour forms a nice tan colored, 1 finger size head, which held very well; some lacing formed around the glass; beer gives the appearance of a healthy and full-bodied beer; viscous

S - Roasted malt nose; licorice; smokey nose up-front, followed up with a touch of burnt bread; roasted oats, oatmeal; brown sugar; vanilla

T - Roasted malt flavor; chocolate; slight flavor of coffee on the back-end; smokey flavor with a touch of what appears to be cinnamon; roasted oats; brown sugar; vanilla

M - Full-bodied; smooth roasted malt and chocolate flavors; lingering espresso taste, stays for a while; creamy; chewy

D - Good drink; I liked this and made a great dessert beer; one of the better porters I've had, I'm not a huge fan, but this definitely gets my vote; worth a try

Bomber served cold into a pint glass.

Walker's Reserve Porter is a dark cola brown color with thick white head. It settles quickly but leaves some spotty lacing behind.

Aroma is sweet but roasty with a little bit of toasted nuts.

Flavor is smooth and well balanced with good roast, caramel, and chocolate. Nice depth of flavors and hop bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Creamy and smooth.

Overall a really nice porter and very drinkable. I only wish they would put it in 6 packs.

Poured froma bomber into FW pint glass...

A - Pours a deep brown with a two finger tan head that dissipates at a decent pace. There is a good amount of lacing to be had here...

S - Some roasted malts, a little chocolate, and a good dose of coffee...

T - Starts out sweeet. Caramel and sweet chocolate. Dark roasted malts, and some nutty notes follow with coffee and lingering roasted malts in the finish. The nuttiness is interesting, but not out of place...

M - Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbontion...

O - Not a great brew by any means, but definitely a solid one. Something I will be picking up again when I am in the mood for the style. Firestone has yet to disappoint...

Cheers...
