Appearance: Clean golden, with a thick and creamy head of white foam. Web of lace.

Aroma: Toasty malts with a hint of sweet fruity hops.

Taste: Ideal balance of malty sweet and hoppy bitterness, with some spice. Hoppy enough to appeal to modern American craft drinkers, but light and dry enough for any day. Applaud this one.

What took me so long to try this? Maybe the pilsner just wasn't catching my eye. However, this is a fantastic pilsner, hoppy and dry with no off putting flavors or being too grainy. It's near perfection. Sits up there with Prima Pils, for sure.

Pivo Pils pours a golden color, with not much head. Nice crisp yet creamy malty aroma. Flavor is nice and full, good crisp and creamy malty notes. Good body and feel. Overall, a very solid no frills German pils.

This beer pours a clear gold with a solid head. The aroma is crisp, with solid biscuit malts, black pepper, orange peel, toasted almonds, mild cinnamon, and a sharp, high note I have trouble identifying. The flavor leads with full, biscuit and brand muffin malts, with black pepper, clove, anise, and a slightly woodiness, and just enough bitterness to balance. The mouthfeel is light and very crisp, with bold fizzing carbonation. Overall this is an excellent pils - so crisp, malt driven, with just enough bitterness to make it quite moreish. This is going down quick.

Looks, smells, and tastes like a pils, but without any subtlety. Far too hop forward and bitter. Typical West or East coast type of effort for the style. It is dry and clean which I applaud.

Very fresh can 04/05. Pours a clear yellow color with a very small white head. Smell had cereal, grain and biscuit with floral hops. Taste followed the nose with a good dose of floral hops. Mouth feel was crips and very dry and bitter in the finish and was under carbonated. Taste was good on this but this is a Pils i wont be looking for again.

Pours crystal clear bright yellow with a pillow of white head that recedes quickly and leaves minimal lacing. The aroma is corn, bread, and floral hops. The flavor follows the nose and some European hops join in. The feel is crisp and light. An average pilsner.

CANNED ON 02/16/18

Crystal clear yellow gold hue with a loose, frothy white head sticking to the surface. Fresh grassy, slightly floral hop aroma with some white bread and a low Pils sulfur note. Taste is a bit spicier: noble hops, straw, cracker-like grain...simple, yet tasty. Pretty light with a crisp, clean finish. This certainly should find it's way into the "drinkin' beer" rotation assuming I can find it relatively fresh.

L:
-pours a slightly hazy straw golden with a small to medium, foamy, white head
-medium to high carbonation visible
S:
-herbal,spicy,grassy,lemon,pomelo
T:
-Follows the nose + pine
-high bitterniss for the style
F:
-medium carbonation
-light to medium body
O:
Despite this definitely being hopped like an IPL it retains a really authentic Pilsener character.
Very good one.
