This rather small liquor chain in Northern New Jersey was a random stop for me up on a recent visit.

The interior was quite small, extremely clean, and had a high class liquor store feel to it. It focuses primarily on wines and spirits.

The beer selection was very small, local craft brews and also some standard import beers. They were located on one stand of 22oz bombers, 1/2 of a shelf of regional craft brews, and finally the coolers right near this stash were full with BMC, some craft beers, and many common imports (Corona, Guinness, Bass, Amstel Light, etc.).

The average BA member would be very disappointed in this store, but a newbie or random beer drinker would be fine with this place.

Used to be a great store. Then the Beer Manager Brian left. now it is awful for beer. If you want year old IPAs this is your place. Selection is subpar. Ask for help and you get the impression that you are bothering someone. Sad to see a once great store wither and die.

I've been to this place a few times now and the store has come a long way since the other older reviews and certainly deserves a new one.

The selection seems to get better every few months. They have good domestic and descent international brews. I think the key to this store is knowing when the better stuff comes in which is why I gave a 5 for service. You can sign up on their "list" for when new beers come in and you will be notified when something arrives. For example i was told when they got their shipment of Founders KBS, Nemesis '10, DFH bitches brew, brooklyn black ops, Sam Adams Infinium, Sierra Nevada Grand Cru. Among their usual selection they have Southern Tier, Flying Dog, New Holland, Allagash, Stone, Ithaca, Brew Dog, Corsendonk, Meantime. Today arrived one bottle each of the Brew Dog sink the Bismark and tactical nuclear penguin, both selling north of $100.

Prices are very reasonable and with almost anything they sell you know you are getting the lowest price available.

This store has come a long way and seems to have made it into my regular places to stop in and see what new beers they got in. I'm not sure about their other locations but If you're in the Bergen county area its worth checking out.

I work very near here, so despite not being the biggest store ever, I do pay visits on occasion. I must admit that this store has made big improvements since I first visited last year. Initially it was very substandard. Now I wouldn't exactly call it vast, but they do always have things that no one else has. They carry a lot of Dogfish Head, Founders, Ommegang and Brooklyn Brewery, as well as hard to get stuff such as Great Divide and Green Flash. I have scored bottles of Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Stout and Ballast Sculpin IPA at this location, and I've heard that they got bottles of Life & Limb last year. (I wasn't so fortunate then). The big drawback is the ridiculous prices. Luckily, it seems that if no one buys the expensive stuff, they do mark it down after a while. Example: Founders KBS and Nemesis were $9 for single 12 oz bottles at first, but no one was buying them so they reduced them both to $6 each. The bottom line is, I find that I don't regret spending the time to check up on the selection now and then.

was in the area so i decided to take a look-see. wow, what a mess. definately the sloppiest beer selection i've ever seen. bottles all over the place, non stocked shelves, price tags ripped off the shelves and missing. it looked like the 80's cabbage patch fury ripped through the beer department. if the manager is reading this, clean up your store man, it's a damn mess. nothing spectacular to talk about @ all. they had 1 kbs on the shelf @ 7.99 per bottle & a nemesis empty shelf with a 8.99 per bottle sticker on the shelf. those bergen county city slicker prices. help consisted of someone sitting, yapping on their cell phone avoiding anyone walking in the store and another cashier standing up front, that's about all. first and last trip to that store.
