On tap at The Marco Island Brewery in Fl.

Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Citrus hops, pine, resin, grapefruit and lemon; extremely bitter.

Overall smells good but very bitter taste; bit too much for me.

Pours a brilliant sun golden orange with a touch of haze and a finger of fluffy off-white foam.

The citra hops explode out of the glass lending juicy aromas of orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and mango.

The citra hop bill takes front stage with an explosion of juicy citrusy and tropical fruit flavors, but a little one sided as I'm not getting much from the malt bill.

Medium-bodied, medium-high carbonation, juicy, citrusy, tropical, finishes bitter and dry from a lackluster malt bill.

Overall, this is factually an extremely pleasant beer to look at and the citra hops provide a marvelous aroma, but the overall balance in flavor leans towards bitter citrus which isn't helped by the lack of sweetness from the malt bill. This is certainly a fantastic beer, but IMO needs more balance.

Poured on tap at the brew pub, the beer is a slightly hazed, golden coloring, with a foamy, light, clingy, white head. Nose of resinous pine, tart and sweet grapefruit and lemon, sweet caramel, and subtle roasted notes. Well balanced. Flavors are smooth and balanced forward, with a blend of tart grapefruit and lemon on a grassy and piney backbone. Subtle cracker and caramel notes, all on a robust, slick, and slightly astringent body. The aftertaste is citrus and resinous pine pitch. The finish is slick and bitter, with a drying feel. Really good IPA.

I seriously think I'm the 1% with the citra/mosaic craze. It must be similar to the cilantro thing. I get it for what it is. And I really appreciate it. I just want some centennial/simcoe/cascade. Classics-ish! Mouth feel and aroma on this are outta this world.

Pale gold and fairly bright though there is mild haze. 2 finger chalk white head with decent retention. Lots of sticky lacing.

Big aroma, noticeable as soon as the crowler was cracked. Strong lemon. Grapefruit and pineapple. A bit of malt, both caramel and biscuit-y.

Taste in strong, bitter lemon - rind, zest, and juice. A mild chalky note. Doughy, biscuit-y malt. A touch of pine and floral hop.

Medium body with medium carbonation. Very dank and citrus-y. Strong, lingering bitter lemon.

Big, bold, dank showcase for the citra hop. Slightly over bitter.

Very drinkable. The more I drink the more I like this. Very smooth lingering finish. Light hop grapefruit not too malty finish but really stays pleasantly on the palate. Definitely will drink again.

Location is now in St Petersburg not Gulfport

Fresh crowler drank in a chalice on 6/16/2016

Gonna just give a quick rundown on this one. It was a really enjoyable beer and very reflective of an East Coast IPA...or should I call it an OG East Coast IPA since it's not a hazy juicebomb but a nice hoppy beer with a firm malt backdone? Either way it was tropical citrusy, very fresh and refreshing nose and taste. This beer is beyond drinkable, so I'll call it crushable. Would love to have this on draft next time I am in FL.

Nice cloudy appearance, reminiscent of a lot of New England IPAs. Solid lacing throughout the drink.

Big fruity aroma. Citrus and mango.

The front taste follows the aroma, while the back hits you with wonder and smooth hops.

Good carbonation in the mouthfeel.

Overall thus is just about the best IPA I've had out of Florida.

Poured this hazy goodness from a crowler and enjoyed it very much. It's super juicy with a bright orange color that glows. Yes glows! I would quite put it on level with Tree House's best, but it's almost there. Can't wait to enjoy at the brewery some day!

Bright yellow with minimal head.

Bright tangy citrusy hop aromas.

In contrast to the aromas, hops contribute much less fruit and tropics to the flavor. There is some white of the grapefruit rind, and even some broccoli in the background.

Mild but sharp bitterness.

Cycle Brewing Company -- Crank IPA
Location -- Four Stacks Brewing

The first time I had crank was in early 2015 and I loved it. I dont think that what they are brewing now is the same recipe. The Crank I've been having the past few months seems watered down and definitely does not have that juicy, hazey, citra hop bomb character that it had when I first tasted it. I still love this beer and it is one of the best IPA's in the Tampa Bay area.

Appearance: pours a golden orange color. finger or so of a white head forms, decent retention and leaving behind a slight lacing. slightly hazy and opaque. nice brightness

Smell: light tropical fruits along with citrus, some pine and resin. some light malt character, a mix of crystal and bready malts.

Taste: opens with strong citrus, ranging from zest to a light lemon bread character. more bready malts come in giving some notes of lightly toasted grains. melon comes through along with some light tropical fruit. the end is all resin and pine hops.

Mouthfeel: light, refreshing. nice lingering bitterness.

Overall: solid ipa. This would get the job done any day. Doesn't quite do enough to distinguish itself for the uppermost tier of ipas but nothing to turn down or scoff at.

Poured from a crowler. Darker orange color with a thick white head that lingers some throughout drinking. Some lacing on the glass. Smell of citra comes through nicely. Taste reflects the same as smell with some malt and bitter fruit. Feel is super smooth with a nice resiny mouthfeel, similar to Lawson's. Very nice beer

Crowler. Nice frothy head with good stick and lacing. Gold with just a bit of haze. Nice smell. A nice malt element with some funky hop. Sweet. Mild grapefruit. A bit simple but in that enjoyable classic way. Super smooth. Some resiny stick. Perfect level of carb.

Pours (from growler filled at the brewery the day before) a nice hazy light orange with a foamy white head that persists as it's consumed. Smell is more tropical fruit than pine, and the hops definitely smell fresh. Flavor follows the nose, with a good balance as it's not too bitter or hoppy. Tastes very good; I would definitely make this a mainstay if I were in the St Pete area. Strongly recommended.

Hazy gold pour from a crowler/ nice lacing on glass with good carbonation and head. Subtle hints of fruit but hops are evident. Slight bitterness from hops that lingers on the palate but the fruits are as subtle as the nose. A good beer with a nice lingering flavor.

On tap at Cycle Brewing in St. Petersburg, NY.

This one pours a slightly hazy dark orange, with a small head and a good amount of lacing.

Smells like dank, actual dank- like left in the basement too long. There's also some grapefruit, and pine.

This tastes basically the same, it's got a really earthy and dank feel to it. It's both dank in the typical weed n' IPA way, and also in the forgotten shit in the basement way. There's also some grapefruit and some bitter pine. It's still good despite the review haha.

This is medium bodied, with a crisp and juicy mouthfeel .

Though it had a bit of a weird funkiness to it, this was still really nice.

A: Lacey, clear, clingy IPA with a nice head. From a growler and poured to a snifter. Good retention of head and lacing.
S: muted tropical fruits, definitely apple, fresh apple like a crisp white wine bouquet and a background of a pilsner-like malt, crisp
T: not all the nose comes through in the taste but it's tropical, again muted, with a refreshing bitterness of clean hops, again crisp
MF: Nice and clean and a bit astringent but with enough softness to have you come back for more, very nice
O: This is my style, tropical forward and definitely crisp, clean and refreshing. I live an hour from the brewery and they can make some serious IPAs and session IPAs and they all stand on their own as great, fresh ales. This is a great beer and this is their well circulated edition that most can get in SW Florida. If you like this, go to St. Pete and hit their bar on Central Ave. You will love their single hop IPA/APA offerings and other beers. Good stuff here. Get you some. Solid 4.

No idea how this is a 4.45

Golden orange color. White head with lace.

Not a massive amount of flavors. Floral and earthy. Not very fruity. Very meh.

Not a huge fan of this one. There are other better ones out there.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a lightly hazy golden hue with a great two finger creamy white head that fades to leave sticky lacing and great head retention.

S - Aromas of nice grapefruit aroma, good orange, very nice tropical notes. Good pineapple, nice softer malts.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, nice citrus and grapefruit, good light tropical notes, solid pineapple sweetness, there is a nice light malt too. Really tasty hops and fruit notes. Really nice hops with good light alcohol.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little fluffy.

O - Overall this beer was really tasty, great citrus and tropical notes. Well done.

Crowler thanks to osnapson (Reddit) shared with rudzud.

Can forces a huge frothy fluffy almost 3 finger head that fades fairly slowly and tons of messy lacing, quite hazy orange honey color.

Nose explodes from the pour, big tropical fruit, dank passion fruit musty pineapple, orange citrus tangerine, fresh ruby red grapefruit, a creamy thick malt base, some pith and strange grassy herbal hop, raw malt.

Taste brings tons of citrus pith, tropical dank fruits again, pineapple, passion fruit, dank grapefruit, generic fruity flavor, some tangerine citrus, plenty of pith and some rind, fair bitterness. Creamy raw malt underneath, little sweetness. Finish dry quite bitter, little hop oil, dank tropical fruits lingering.

Mouth is med bod little creamy, decent carb.

Install pretty nice, great hop profile dank tropical fruits and citrus, nice bitterness level, nice malts as well.
