Cycle Brewing "Berry Best"
small snifter on tap at the tasting room

Notes: Cloudy pink body. Minimal head disappears quickly. Limited spotty lacing. Sour nose along the lines of grapefruit, but not grapefruit - obviously raspberry-like. TART. Not brash... puckering but not pucker-face. Fruit comes through nicely. It would be great if there was a little more complexity to it, but it's very clean and there's not a lot along the edges of the sourness to add to it. I guess I'm saying it's a one-trick-pony, but then again I guess Berliner weiss is as well. Worth trying to check it out.

The appearance is red and very similar to a smoothie in consistency. It's very cloudy with minimal head. Smell is of pure raspberries. Taste is also pure raspberries. Not as tart as I would have expected, which only makes this all the more drinkable. Very refreshing beer and paired nicely with the hot day it was consumed on.

Pours a reddish beer. Very little foam forms. Aroma is of raspberries. It smells like a treated beer. Taste is very mild. Not a very tart Berliner, lightly sweet, malty, good beer. Good for drinking a few, it is very drinkable, excellent summer beer.
