Loved the cognac on this one. Really strong and sweet, but its presence was exactly what I want and love in a cognac ba stout. wasn't overly thick was certainly a nice mouthfeel and easy to drink. really enjoyed this one

Black dark brown in color. Tan head.

Rich and roasted. Dark dried cherries and other dark fruits. Raisins. Nice cognac flavors.

A little thin. Ends roasted with some barrel notes.

Solid, but nothing out of this world. Still, enjoyable.

Loads of cognac, like a raspberry puree, plenty of barrel sweetness. Again, to me the cognac comes across as raspberry here. Strange but good; becomes a bit cloying through the bottle.

L: Pours pitch black, looks thick. Nice finger of very dark brown head. Looks great!
S: Big cognac and dark roasted malt. Nice barrel presence.
T: My first cognac beer and I like it. The barrel brings flavor and sweetness. This is all barrel, with no alcohol tastes, all barrel flavor.
F: Thick and coating, very smooth
O: Great beer and first from Cycle. Hopefully more to come.
