32 oz crowler from brewery poured into Funky Buddha mini snifter.
Muddy hazy brown color with a nice finger of khaki head. Gorgeous lace remains.
Aroma is very nutty - hazelnut, peanut butter, walnuts, slight corn flakes cereal. Acidic coffee, astounding aromas of cream, and oats.
Flavor is likewise nutty but overtaken by the coffee which, because of the nuttiness I'm left wanting more sweetness from hazelnut/peanut butter. Nice fruitiness as well, slight acidity, corn/grain sweetness, faint cream, finish of more black coffee.
Nice carbonation level, really props up the porter overall. Biting, weight is almost like a brown ale, slight dryness from the coffee.
Overall a really good porter you should seek out without a doubt if in the St Pete area.

On tap. Earthy peanut aroma, corn flakes. Taste follows with corn flakes and grainy notes, well balanced, earthy. Feels light but on the other hand it's really easy drinking.

Arrives black with a thin light tan head that drops to a thin, scattered film. Some light lace.
Smell is malty, sweet, hazelnuts with a faint coffee note in the background. Well balanced.
Taste is malt, hazelnuts, chocolate, sweet with just a whiff of coffee.
Body is a bit weak for my taste but style correct really. Carbonation is lightish and really suits the brew. Seriously good.

On tap at the brewery. Black body with a big off white head. Smells of hazelnut coffee. And that’s it. Tastes of hazelnut, coffee, and a little bit of lactose sweetness. Lends a little milk chocolate. Pretty dry with a coffee bitter finish. Medium body. I can see why people complain about the body, but I don’t agree. It’s got the flavor of a bigger beer without being sluggish. Nice.
