From 08/24/11 notes. On tap at Peg's.

a - Pours a dark, hazy orange-gold color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of citrus hops, tropical fruits, light pine hops, fruity malts, and a hint of alcohol. Very hoppy and fresh, really nice.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, pine hops, fruity malts, alcohol, light soap, and tropical fruits. A little bit bitter and some alcohol, but still very nice. Slight step down from the nose.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation evident.

o - Overall a very good IPA. Tons of hops in the nose which was great, but alcohol comes through a bit in the taste. Would certainly order it again.

Square Dancing Cody. On-tap at Peg's.

A - Good looking DIPA. Orange-gold, volunious off-white head, copious lace.

S - Great nose, just as Dancing Cody, but a bit more booze and malt are discernible. Still, it has a ton of citric, sappy, and tropical aromatics.

T - Tastes like Dancing cody, plus a bit more booze, some sweetness from the malt, and the addition of Simcoe. The Simcoe perhaps takes it a tad too far in terms of bitterness. Not that I don't like bitterness, but the Simcoe disrupted the sublime balance of Dancing Cody; the additional malt used to balance the very bitter hop reduces the overall hop dominance. Still, it is very good; loaded with citric and piney hoppiness.

M - DIPA. Good.

D - Not as drinkable or as delicious as Dancing Cody, but awesome all the same.

On tap at Ybor event and Brewers Ball.

A: Pours an amberish hue with a nice white cap. Good retention and lace.

S: Nice bright hoppiness with lots of grassy green hops. Hints of citrus and more mild sweet pine. Nice sweet malt backing as well.

T: Real solid DIPA, one of the better ones I have had in recent memory to be honest. Bold sweet caramel malt with subtle sweet pine. Mild citric notes with a big blast of herbal hops to provide a bitter finish.

M: On the fuller side of medium. Rich, with ample sweetness to support the hopped up finish.

D: Damn good. Solid Solid beer. Yep I am now officially a Peg's "Homer" too!

On tap at Pegs, 17 Jul 2010.

Clear dark golden brown color. Small beige head is long lasting. Light carbonation. Aroma is resiny, citric, sweet. Starts creamy, resiny. Some tropical fruit. Orange sweet becoming citric bitter towards the finish. Orange pith aftertaste. Alcohol somewhat warming.

Liked this a bit better at the start before it warmed up.

Had on tap at peg's cantina, 11-11-11 high gravity night.
A: deep heavy orange. Light gets through, but not much else. Impressive lacing with a nice frothy hat on this deep orange, heavy IIPA.
S: Just amazing freshness, sweet crystal malts hidden inside a sweet smelling hop massacre. I can literally smell this from 2 feet away over my rare dos.
T: Big grapefruit and zesty hops. Rounded out with noticeable caramel maltiness. One of the better that I've ever had. Certainly the freshest.
M: pretty big for a IIPA. Nice wetness, lingers into something like a mouth randall.
O: absolutely fantastic. Rivaling any IIPA I've ever experienced. Not hop water by any stretch as there is big crystal malt taste and smell, balanced very well.
