A - It has everything it should have, looks-wise. A big big black void of a body, oily and viscous, capped with a sinster rusty-brown head. The brew has serious legs, as I swirl it in the glass. Great looking.

S - The nose is heavy on nuances of creme brulee, vanilla-oak-booze, caramel, and pecan pie. As it airs out, an impression of s'mores is discernible (chocolate + graham + marshmallow + campfire). I love this stuff.

T - The taste follows up on the nose impressively. Huge chocolate notes are intially apparent, followed by softer oak, vanilla, booze and graham cracker impressions. As I get deeper into the brew, I start getting nuances of fudge, chocolate truffles, s'mores, caramel, and perhaps even a subtle dark currant fruitiness. This brew is amazingly complex and so intricately and delicately nuanced (especially for the usually heavy-handed style.) This is literally one of the best beers I have ever had.

M - The carbonation is soft but persistent and is tremendously enhancing. It is perfect. For a -bal it is especially beyond expections.

D - Blown away by this one. It is the smoothest, most decadent and easiest drinking beer of this magnitude and magnificence that I have ever had.
