A: Pours dark translucent brown with copper glints. Small off-white head.
S: Smell of freshly ground coffee, roasted malts, caffee latte, prune, grape, complex, rich, wonderful!
T: Taste is dominated by coffee, toasted malts and cream. Dark chocolate comes on a second step. Finishes on molasses, brown sugar, prune. Complex despite the low ABV.
M: Medium bodied, well carbonated, easy drinking.
O: A light but complex and flavorful porter. It gives the impression of drinking an iced caffe lattee with something more. An other Cream and Sugar Please, please!

Crowler, about one week old, served in a Cigar City snifter 3/13/2015 in honor of the Hunaphu's Day festivities. I had this rated at 3.75 before (without a review), but don't remember the full experience so I'm taking the time to review this in full.

A- Dark brown body, pretty much looks like a porter, nice two finger tan head with good retention and very nice lacing.

S- Lactose, mild toasted malt, milk chocolate. Not particularly strong or impressive as far as the smell goes, but it certainly smells the part of a milk porter- plenty of milk chocolate, even with a bit of roasted coffee bean, like a cafe americano.

F- Lactose, milk chocolate, toasted malt, roasted coffee bean. Solid, very tasty milk chocolate sweetness with a bit of that toasted malted porter with a nice roasted coffee bean finish.

M- Thinner-medium bodied, slightly watery, but still reasonably tasty. Good carbonation especially out of the crowler.

O- This is pretty solid. Nice lactose sweetness makes for a nice mild milk chocolate and coffee experience. The flavour seems to be driven by the adjuncts here. Different, not necessarily better, but different.

Overall a light bodied coffee porter that is light on the dark roasted coffee flavor with a smoother milk chocolate flavor. Easy drinking with a nice blend of sweetness and lightly roasted malt. Had this as a chaser while drinking the BA coffee stouts so it was quite the difference.

Poured from a crowler into a wine glass.

Pours thin, deep brown with a fizzy, quickly disappearing head.

Smell is pretty awesome. Sweet hazenlut-flavored coffee. Smells creamy.

Coffee flavor shows excellently again on the palate, offering nutty, toffee flavors. However, from there, it sort of falls off the map. Light chocolate and vanilla and brown ale sort of flavor.

Very thin and light-bodied. Light yeast and malt feel. I'd call this watery almost, although the carbonation gives an interesting seltzer kind of feel.

It's cool. Really like the coffee profile, but the beer itself lacks something.
