Bottle.

A: Moderate black berries, light citrus, followed by bready malts, light hibiscus, light sourness and faint saltiness.

A: Pink color, hazy, with a frothy, slightly uneven, white head that has solid retention, with light lacing in the glass.

T: Blackberries upfront, followed by prominent lime, light bready malts, floral, with light hibiscus, faint earthy, light bitterness, and a lingering light sourness through the finish with a faint saltiness.

M: Medium light bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Solid; the beer has an interesting use of black berries and limes, which off-sets the salt and agave sweetness well.

From bomber to teku
Pours a berry red to almost purple tinted with thin wispy white foam head.
Tart berry nose
This beer tastes very near exactly how it is described in the profile
Some pucker on the finish with a tongue coating of lemony or tart berry for the first few pulls

L: hazy pink pour permeated with streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a pinkish 2" cap with poor retention.

S: lightly tart with berries, light bread dough, some hibiscus, and spice

T: starts tart and prickly with lightly salted lemony berry and floral flavors

F: light bodied, highly carbonated beverage with a pleasant and refreshing tartness

O: The blend of fruit, floral, tart, sweet and salt is suprisingly pleasant and drinkable

Poured into a tulip:

Look is cotton candy, guava pink with bubbly head that soon dissolves to thin lacing. Definitely most odd beer look I've seen, does not look like a beer...more like juice or a mixed drink.

Smell is of mild sour fruits, almost like sour patch kids

Mouthfeel is sourness and tart just like it should be

Taste is very sour, berries, honey, lime, and a bit of charred smokiness. This is a Damn good beer done right. Well done!

Solid Gose, although the detectability factor of the various ingredients isn't high (in other words, don't expect to be able to parse out the lime, blackberries, hibiscus, etc.)

pretty beer here, stained a pretty violet shade from the blackberries with an electric pink undertone from the hibiscus, really nice looking brew. at first sip i was a little disappointed, and thought the beer wasnt as flavorful as it should be for the special ingredients its meant to feature, but as it warmed up, i realized how complex this was, it just needed a little time to open up, so if you rushed through this one while it was at fridge temperature, you probably missed its best aspects. the blackberries are sweet here, and probably the most obvious of the added flavors. they go great with this base gose, one of my favorite takes on the style ever, and this would probably be sufficient with just the fruit at work, but the hibiscus comes in with a floral bitterness thats very fresh and not as perfumey as it can sometimes be. my favorite part is the smoked agave, which comes on after the midway point of the flavor journey with a flash of earthy brine and a fleshy juicy nectarous plant element thats just a bit smoked. really gorgeous, and the salt that comes on late picks more of this up. dry by the finish, a little citru to it, more sour than other variants of this that ive had, and super refreshing in hot weather. seems like too many weird ingredients, but its not at all. this series has been a lot of fun, i hope they keep up with it, the base beer is so versatile that the potentialities of this are endless. this beer was far more enjoyable than my time in tijuana...

POUR: Bomber bottle into tulip glass. APPEARANCE: Looks purplish to red in color. Initial purplish rocky head recedes and settles to nil. Ring around edges of glass. Some glass lacing present. A few lacy bubbles rising. Cloudy, can't see through. AROMA: Strong yeasty, sour/tart to blackberry/raspberry. Earthy with some funky notes. TASTE: Initial hit of some sour zest but recedes nicely into a subdued salty taste. Sharp and crisp on the tongue and finishes somewhat clean. AFTERTASTE: Zesty and with salinity present. Some smoky back notes as well. NOTES: Well crafted. Nice interplay with the poppy zest, sour, salt and smoke. Interesting flavor combinations going on here. REVIEW/RATING: Very good/ 4.43 out of 5.

Oh, man, I am not a huge fan of tarts & sours & I do not generally hunt down Goses, but when I had the Phuket (Thailand) version, I immediately wanted to score a bottle of TJ. I do not care what the commercial description may read, I expect this to taste of leaded gasoline, donkey shows, jai alai & TJ funnies. Anything less will not be evocative of the TJ that I knew as a US Navy sailor.

From the bottle: "Sour Wheat Ale brewed with blackberries, hibiscus, lime, smoked agave and Mayan sea salt."

Knowing that it is, at base a Wheat Ale, plus it has a number of adjuncts, I felt secure in agitating the beer while still in the bottle. I then Pop!ped the cap and gave it an aggro pour, just to ensure that everything was in suspension. My incredulity as it came forth with a pinkish hue was immeasurable. Wow! It billowed outward, forming better than a finger of foamy, fizzy, pink head that slowly settled into wisps. Color was a hazy reddish-pink (SRM = N/A). Nose was heavy with the salt, but interestingly enough, accompanied by both a smokiness & a tart fruitiness, either blackberry or raspberry. What?!? The taste was very tart and the fruitiness was now easily identifiable as blackberry. I really got a kick out of the intermingling of the lime, salt & smokiness, like some sort of New Age margarita. I was not getting much in the way of hibiscus, but I was okay with that since I am not a huge fan of its flavor. What Gose on with this beer?!? The tartness, combined with the saltiness, was causing my lips to pucker uncontrollably. I could not help but giggle like a little girl about this one. It was truly wild & a really interesting trip. Finish was dry, salty & tart. What more could you ask for? What won't they think of next?

Heard ao many good things about gose gone wild that I had to pick this up when I found this varient From a 12oz bottle this appears a hazy pink color with an off-white head.

It smells herbal and soapy which is not that appetizing. The taste has a bit of medicinal and soapy thing going on. Its slightly savory and tart with lemony lacto.

This is light in body with modest carbonation. Whelp, not a fan.

Slight pinkish orange color. White head with lace.

The line and sea salt show the most. Fairly citrusy and fruity. Sour and acidic with lemon juice. Grapefruit juice in the finish.

Solid gose. Fun to try.
