Straw yellow, but so hazy you can't see through it. There's a fingernail of off white on top. The aroma is of citrus and mosaic hops. I'm tasting citrus and mosaic hops with some light malt at the back of the palate. The mouth provides a nice deep hop burn and is otherwise lightly sticky and chewy.

A crystal clear golden-orange brew ... until you get to the bottom of the can. Suddenly, this transparent brew becomes nearly opaque, although there is no visible sediment. Very nice head production, with a strong pour producing ~2 1/2 fingers of cloudy, snow-white head. Retention is good, but after several minutes it has mostly faded, leaving behind scattered lines of lacing.

Aroma leaps from the pour and the glass, in particular pineapple, grapefruit, and oregano and basil herbs. Lightly peppery and grassy.

On the palate, the hops shine, revealing juicy notes of ruby red grapefruit, melon, pineapple, and mango. Slightly dank and herbal on the second half; a little grassy. Light biscuity malt.

Extremely lively and active, with quite a bit of sting. Disappointing for what is obviously styled after NE-IPAs.

Pours an unclear orange, wth fine, soft foam.

Smell is fruity with lots of citrus, passionfruit and a little bit of sweetness.

Taste is citrusy with notes of melon and grass. Nice, medium bitterness and a good balance.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a very good IPA, balanced and drinkable.

Brewed with Hallertau Blanc, Huell Melon, Mandarina Bavaria, and Mosaic hops, oats and lactose...

Pale gold and hazy body under a white foam top and slimmed to a persistent fuzzy cap... Aromas were grassy, fruity, and floral, followed by a mildly bitter, lightly sweet, and amply carbonated beer bringing delicate pale fruits, bright floral, herbal, and grassy notes, much as predicted by the nose. Smooth and easy drinking, very nice feel... Good but not exceptional... 6/27/17 canning.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, half finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit, mild mixed tropical fruit, rosewater and other floral notes. Flavor of mildly caramel malt, citrus hops, bright lemon, grapefruit, light melon; finishes with lemon and yuzu, lemon and grapefruit rind with a little pine and more of the complex florals. Medium bodied with a light creaminess and nice mouth feel. Promises a nouveau hop experience and delivers. Although the brewery description lists tropical fruit, I detected a little in the aroma, but not much in the flavor. This is not a problem, because the bright lemon family flavors are quite nice with interesting floral flavors developing in the finish. The oats give this a nice, lightly creamy feel while the lactose is not really detectable to me, although it may moderate the citrus flavors. The flavor seems to hover between clear, straightforward lemony citrus hops and more complex wildflower hay components. I liked this quite a bit.

American IPA brewed with oats and lactose sugar. Poured from a can into a Woodburn tulip. The pour is very hazy, but not what I would call cloudy, and a rough pour produces 2 fingers of rocky white head with average retention. On the nose I get fresh toast with lemon curd and grapefruit.

Medium-light body with a delicate feel and a light, crisp, hoppy flavor. Follows the nose with a light malty kiss up front followed by a pleasant array of citrus fruit. Lemons and grapefruit are the key players here, but there's also a musty, chalky note that I don't care for. The lactose seems to balance it out and makes for a gentle IPA with no abrasive bitterness.

Overall, a good IPA with nice flavors, but I like 'em just a bit more punishing than this. They don't have to be palate-wreckers, but they do need to remind me that I'm drinking an IPA.
