Oh, the trials & tribulations of The CANQuest (tm)! This was added on 12 April 2018 & never subsequently rated and/or reviewed. I recently scored a CAN for The CANQuest (tm), but an approved pic was not in place. woodychandler to the rescue! Okay, but now a couple of Stillwaters already in abeyance. Now, I am ready & @Thomash-houston beat me by 53 minutes! Haha. Yeah, but no review, pal. I'm still gonna come in first in that department! Much

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/pine hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance; with zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Lightly increasing warmth of 10% after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic TIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, not overly aggressive. This tastes exactly like Founders Centennial, but at higher ABV. Awesome juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank Centennial hop complexity; nice bready pale/Munich malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
