Medium gold pour, flat. Super peppery - the Belgian yeast is dialed-up to 11. Makes the beer seem way more like a hearty dubbel than a crisp saison, poor representation of the style

16 oz. can

Pours foggy hazy amber orange with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like bubblegum, grapes, banana, peppery clove spice, lemon, lime, orange citrus, grapefruit, kiwi, cantaloupe, melons, apricot, peach, caramelized bready crackery cereal grain, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like white grapes, bubblegum, banana, peppery clove spice, lemon, lime, orange citrus, grapefruit, kiwi, cantaloupe, melon, apricot, peach, caramelized bready crackery cereal grain, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and soft with moderate low smooth carbonation. Overall a real nice hoppy saison.

L) Very translucent straw colored. Has a lovely white head with decent retention and lacing.

S) Aromas of light honey with a smidgen of lemon zest. Very subtle and pleasant.

T) Quite mild. It has a pilsneresque malt backbone with just a wee bit of citrus and a little bit of white pepper on the end. The hop profile isn't super complex, mostly just grass, and again, it is quite mild.

F) The feel is actually pretty rich for the style. It is silky, and the head is creamy. Medium high carbonation keeps it refreshing.

O) Not a bad 4pack. Pairs well with food.

A: I fucked up pouring this beer, but for the sake of assessment I can say this: If I had in fact done a good job it would have poured with a rocky two-finger head, and a hazy, straw gold body, par for the course with excellent retention
S: Dank as hell, with immediate grainy qualities, and a clean hop bit following, some residual (tripel-like) sweetness here, and some earthiness and minerality as well
T: My immediate reaction to this beer is that there is a rather unpleasantly sweet caramel note that to me suggests an unbalanced grain bill, and an under-attenuated beer, that being said, following that there is a grainy profile, with spicy and peppery notes, along with hints of citrus, but that pesky, sugary quality will not subside.
M: dry, well done
O: fix the damn sweetness, this is so close to great, but it's just not, sorry, thanks for playing

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a hazy yet clear yellow/golden body with some noticeable carbonation seen rising, two finger white foamy head rises and then falls leaving some nice foamy clingy lacing gracing the sides of the glass. The smell was a sour yet funky but also muted musty maltiness combined with some citrus, light hops. The taste was a spicy yet sour yet funky through the esters, clove, and hops, sweet yeasty aftertaste, sticky finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a light, mostly sessionable, carbonation is spot on. Overall, what another nicely done saison that I would gladly have again if I could.

This brew is a straw colored brew with a thin and white head. Hazy and cloudy...almost milky in complexion. The aroma. is grassy, with a light fruit and distant malt note. A bit of earth and spice. Fresh in aroma and taste....refreshing and balanced. Fresh-scented hops and orange peel notes. Medium in body and a clean finish. Not bad.

16oz can

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a foamy white head that has good retention. Smells of spicy and earthy yeast that gives some phenolic notes, floral hops, clove and toasted malt. Tastes fruity up front, followed by spicy phenolic yeast that gives some musty notes. Earthy and floral hops, clove & toasted malt dry finish. Medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish. A fine example of how good the 4 basic ingredients can be, well done
