look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Appearance -
Cloudy, yellow colour, fine suspended yeast particles. Pours a thick 2 finger head which dissipates to a thin film after a few drinks. Leaves plenty of lacing. Moderate carbonation.

Smell -
Smoked, roast, ash, bushfire, hops, leaves, orange, mandarin, citrus rind, pepper - plenty of hops and spice.

Taste -
Citrus rind and hops with a peppery bite - a dry flavour. A yeasty brew, with hints of spice including coriander and cloves. Finishes with an earthy grapefruit bitterness, and strong hints of alcohol.

Mouthfeel -
Lively carbonation, but not difficult to drink. Medium body, creamy feel due to the carbonation and finishes clean and dry. Still refreshing despite its dry flavour. Carbonation leaves you feeling slightly bloated though.

Overall -
A strong, full-flavoured brew. Has a quite unique, earthy and peppery flavour on top of the usual hop bitterness. On the bitter side of the scale, and not for everyone, but offers something different to enjoy. Not the easiest drinking beer out and its heavier carbonation bloats slightly. However, good if you're not drinking many, and would pair up well with a spicy vegetable curry, stir fry or some grilled kangaroo which has a charred and grassy/gamey taste to match.

Coriander leads the way on this beer, and I am not a big fan of that spice. That being said, the body is right, the look is great. were it not for the coriander, this would have been a good to very good beer.

Going into this with an open mind finding a bottle of this for just a dollar with a ?/04/13 date meaning this very beer is at the most a year old. They make great beer so its gonna be drinkable.

A - Not holding against the brewer but this bottle gave me a ton of big thick floaties and a 1/2 inch of head that settles slowly to a sticky lace ring. Color is a hazy orange yellow color.
S - Smell is OK mild fruity rind, some hop bitterness, and a bit of peppery bit still remain just very faint. If anything it doesn't smell skunked.
T - Citrus rind and hop bitterness bite the palate it's hard to believe such a hop bite can be achieved after a year of age! The bad is it taste slightly sour so I am not sure if it is skunked but it taste sort of off. Maybe that was a sediment chunk IDK revisits it taste decent.
M - Still very carbonated with tons of bubbles it is very drinkable but its not as smooth as their other Saisons

Overall AGAIN I went in giving it some leeway for being old and it still has a good taste for a hopped Saison. Worth picking up if you see it discounted.
