Bought from a liquor mart store in Denver, CO on Colorado ave.

Bottled on 06/14/13. Pour into a snifter. Sunflowers seed in between sips

A&S: green grape sourness, orange zest, coriander spice, light bread tones. Crisp smelling lively looking light orange colored beer. Transparency turns from see-through to translucent as bottom yeast is added to the glass. Light fluffy head that retains extremely well at half finger increment.

T&M: surprisingly powerful upfront, BANG! Huge in your face flavors including citrus (orange and tangerine) and cloves. This upfront flavor becomes less intense as more yeast is added but it give way to a touch of funk. Earthy hops round of the beer nicely in a strong bitter finish. Crisp at first, but not as refreshing as the crispness would led you to believe (as the taste hangs around for a while). Low to medium bodied and on the higher side of medium for carbonation.

Overall: Bought off a store employee's recommendation. I'm loving this brewing company. It is astounding how much respect I have gained for this company in the limited beers I have tried (3 with a 4th in the fridge). Extremely affordable, sitting at 3 bucks a bottle. Very glad Crooked Stave and Stillwater formed this this beer trading alliance. I will promptly be snagging everything that I haven't tried from this company, they are that good!

Pours a cloudy amber with billowing white head. settles to a thin layer, spotty lacing. Smell: apricot, grapefruit peel, floral, more stone fruit sweetness beneath. Taste: nectarine, white grape, blood orange, bready wheat.
Medium- plus bodied, dry, spicy and very slightly chalky finish. Classic yeast character and finish;hoppy and fruit forward.

12oz bottle ~$2.50. Bright orange color, slightly hazy, filmy head, looks quite good. Aroma is fruity, citrus, hops and at the same time derivative or maybe its just reminiscent of another well-known saison? Fruit flavor, hint of rusty metal, easy to drink. Overall an interesting saison but not something I will purchase again.

From a 355 ml bottle (illegible date code) into a wine glass.

A-The brew pours pretty clear and light golden in color (I left some sediment in the bottom of the bottle, which would have muddied things up, I assume). The carbonation is visible and active in the glass. The head is about one-finger tall to start with poor retention despite the carbonation.

S-The smell is very floral with a pleasing tropical overtone that reminds me of guava juice and a Hawaiian lei. All those flowers are balanced by a bit of pepper and grass. As the brew warms I detect some alcohol and a bubblegum sweetness.

T-The taste is also very floral with tropical overtones. The mid-palate gives up some lightly bitter grass and a decent hit of pepper spice. The alcohol is mild and sweet, but noticeable. I do not get as much bubblegum on the palate.

M-The feel is medium to light with assertive, chunky carbonation that keeps things moving.

O-This is a very solid saison. I appreciate how drinkable it is, while maintaining a complex flavor profile. The floral flavors are not overly perfumed and there is just a bit of spicy, grassy bitterness to keep things from getting gummy and sweet. If I were to pick nits, I wonder how this brew would be at about 5.5% ABV, so it is more of a table beer? Maybe it would lose some of the complexity, but as is, it is a solid beer.
