A: Pours a deep, golden/adobe amber color (muddy as hell) with a loud (no really) fizzy head that settles out somewhat quickly (note: the yeast comes out of the bottle a good time behind the beer and darkens it considerably)
S: Wonderful dankness comes out right away, followed by some funk and brine and a bit of (not overly estery) tartness as well as a somewhat earthy graininess (coming from the spelt, one would assume), there's like a sweet and sour/brew day aroma trade going on here that's pretty interesting though it comes and goes
T: immediate sweet, with a quickly fading sourness, caramel notes (like straight wort) married with a grainy character while the suggestion of (sweet) corn and a tartness follows, I wish it was spicier (but I assume if I had had it fresh it might have been)
M: a bit coarse and dry
O: This is the second beer I'm having to posess spelt in its grain bill and I must say, each of the two beers I've had with spelt (the other being La Vermontoise from La Blaugies and Hill Farmstead) have hinted at some real possibilities and unmet potential. This beer I find to be much too sweet and not nearly pale enough to turn itself into a real winner but it's not bad. It's just not great either.

Aroma is strong skunk. Appearance is a soap sudsy head and scum. Flavor has a bit of fish at first, then is a little sweet tang and not a lot else. Bit of a let down from Stillwater. Sure don't understand this high rating, although I acknowledge it is in green glass.

Earthy and rusty saison with some malt and brett fruitiness. Extremely highly carbonated

Golden color with huge, pillowy white head. Aroma has a nice, belgian yeast character with the specific bubblegum notes. Taste is really clean, nut much going on. Body is really light and dry. Very easy drinking but lacks complexity. Nut bad but boring.

From tasting notes. The first one I bought was so skunky I had to dump it out. This is based on a non-skunky bottle purchased from another store. L: A nearly clear gold column supports an immense, pillowy 3” off-white foam collar that persists and leaves thick lace. S: Bread and fruit with light over ripe fruit to banana notes. T: A yeast driven fruit attack with some grain spiciness in the baxckground. Mostly stone fruits. In particular apricot and finishes with an earthy bitter emphasis. F: Creamy, medium body and carbonation. O: A great beer but I would be reluctant to buy another in the green bottle.

Beatiful, hazy, golden beer with a two finger high head.

Nose: Belgian yeast, malt, peach, apple, hay and grass.
Taste: Lemon zest, pear, apple, flower, yeast, spice grass and hops.
Body: Medium body with crisp carbonation. Dry ending.

A great, tasty farmhouse Ale!
