Bottle share from Jeremy. Ruby/brown/orange pour, just a ring of head around the glass. Extremely sour aroma and taste, sharp and pungent, but still sweetness lingers

Poured into two tulips. Appears a nice clear pink, with a tiny wisp of head that disappears instantly. The nose is funk-forward, with tartness and blackberry throughout as well. The taste is tart, as well as funky, and the blackberries are slightly present. It's dry and the tartness makes it something you could sip on for a while.

This is immensely tart at first but the palate begins to adapt and catch the beauty of this beer. The sour and tartness is offset by a delicious raspberry sweetness. Light balsamic character mixes with a malty structure. This will only appeal to fans of sours but it's top notch amongst them.

Not sure that I could taste a lot of fruit character due to how insanely sour this beer is. But overall tasty

750ml brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Pours with a slight crackle of carbonation, good clarity with minimal lacing on top. Funky tart nose with hints of blackberry jam. Assertive but level tartness throughout, bit of cellar funk and medicinal phenols. Kiss of blackberry flavor in the middle, dry finish.

This beer talks to the palate about patience, lots of flavor and balance with some many nuances. Lots of fun to sip.

Pours a dull mahogany hue with no head. Nose is vinous and lactic in nature with a suggestion of ethanol. Taste consistent with nose - blackberries are more apparent in the flavor profile; however, it all coalesces together quite nicely. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an even carbonation that falls just short of lively and a pleasant acidity. Overall, very enjoyable. I just wish we had cracked it earlier in the night.

I was so disappointed by Ojos Negros. I was hoping for something similar to Liefman’s Cuvee-Brut where the beer was tart but fruity with decent carbonation. Instead, Ojos Negros is flat, dry, and sour sans fruit. Perhaps I aged the bottle too long or maybe my expectations were wrong.

Pretty intensely vinegary.
