A blend of Rivertown's one and three year old wine-barrel-aged lambics allowed to further age in the bottle for up to six months. The result is dry, cedary, musty, vinuous, and sour.

13 vintage. Rubbing alcohol on nose. Vinegar taste. Had high hopes.

Really surprised on the rating on this one. This was the first beer I had a second pour of at FOBAB and a couple more after that. I loved every dimension of this brew.

This is the first time I knowingly is having a Geuze. It is a blend of Wine Barrel Aged Lambics, which I got via a trade. It was a new experience for me but it was pretty good.
Look: cloudy golden hue with a thin white heat.
Aroma: fruity, lemon, oak.
Taste: It is very tart, lemon, green apple, fruity, oak, wine, some vinegar, overall quite sour, but I like it.
Feel: Light body, a bit fizzy and acidic but not too much.

2013 corked and caged 750ml bottle poured into a snifter appears a clear copper color with white head that is quick to fade.
This smells like mineral water, lemon and apple cider. The taste is tart, earthy, herbal with slight woody character and funky cheese before getting cidery into the finish.
This is light in body with moderate to low carbonation. A little linear but still a decent brew.

Pours a very slightly hazy lemon gold, white lacing for a head.
Smells of lemongrass, apple cider vinegar, citrus zest, and coriander.
Flavor is very tart, green apple and white grape over lemon citrus, with a grassy malt undertone and some coriander a woody finish.
Light to medium body with stinging carbonation on the tongue.
Very nice sour, lots of good flavor and aroma. This one is certainly worth trying for fans of sours, not a good entry point for the style though.

Bottle share thanks to Jeff. Very fruity, light, not too fizzy. Could use a bit more body. Pale golden, small airy head dissipates quickly. More sweet than sour.

I'm fortunate enough to be trying the 2012 & 2013 side by side. Scores for each are within, above is an average
2013: 750ml bottle poured into a tulip
A: Hazy light brown with no head (3.5)
S: Sour, citrus and a hint of vinegar (4)
T: Lemon, vinegar, green apple (4)
M: Light-bodied, mouthwatering acidity (4)
O: This isn't flawed, I like all things acidic so I like this though the vinegar is a touch strong compared to everything else. Also as others have mentioned it's lacking expected carbonation (3.75)
2012: 750ml bottle poured into a tulip
A: Light orange with a one-finger head that quickly settles (4)
S: Green apple, citrus, a hint of vinegar; slightly muted overall (3.75)
T: Matches the nose- mostly green apple, some citrus/vinegar, purer flavors than the 2013 (4)
M: Light-bodied, light carbonation, less acidic than the 2013 (4)
O: Tasty, clean, acidic but not overwhelmingly so. Enjoyable beer, tastes fresh yet I'm sure the age has added complexity (4)
