Thanks to Adam for this one! Thanks to Aaron for the assist.

Deep saturated orange, ample foam that fades down to a thin skim eventually, and minimal spotty lacing around the edges.

Earthy aroma with ample barrel character, light sherry presence and citrusy lambic popping through. Very dry and oaky, mildly leathery.

Tart and citric, nicely rounded with olorosso sherry character and an exquisite long oaky finish. Medium bodied and smooth, unique flavors from the barrel that never obscures the base 3F lambic. Lightly effervescent and smooth feel. Very trace amounts of acetic acid, an acceptable amount.

Overall this is a really unique release. There are slight variations with each blend, this one is more balanced with the sherry in the background, compared to the batch 2 i’ve had.

I believe this was a b6. Big thanks to Antrocks for this trade. Pours a beautiful bright sunshine yellow tinged with gold tones. Decent head. Smell is off the hook good but for someone that was wanting a good old world unfiltered lambic. This can't be done in the US.... just can't. Taste was a bit off putting first but once my pallet adjusted I got everything I was looking for. I couldnt see much of the Sherry barrel but the interplay of dry character and robust unfruited tartness was lovely. Acid felt restrained. Lovely wonder what more time would do to this but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. Happy bday Adam.

One of the most highly ranked lambics in the world! It pours a hazy, light orange color with a short-lasting head. The moderately intense funky aroma is well complex. Strong woodiness, slight earthiness, barnyard, and grape-like aromatics are on the nose. Its funky taste has lots of different flavors. Moderately acidic, lemon-like tartness is well rounded with slight woodiness, light vanilla-like sweetness, and an apple-like fruitiness. Smoothly dry and moderately acidic on the palate, actually it's not sharp as I expected. Low bodied. Quite complex and elegant. I prefer Blend no.49, but it is also a masterpiece!

750 mL bottle. Orange and hazy. Smells of acidic orange and sherry. Oak. A little dried grass. Tons of barrel character. Tastes quite sharp. Sour orange, as they all have tasted like. Heavy oak. Sharp sourness peaks in the back end. Sharper than Blend 21, not as sour or oaky as Blend 49. But really nice.

From a decanted bottle at 3F. This was a close 2nd favorite of the 3 Zenne blends that I had at 3F Lambik-o-droom. The average lambic age is 'only' 2.5 years. There's lovely complexity plus a freshness. I loved all 3 Zenne's as much as the top Cantillons that I had been drinking the 3 days prior. This one (Batch 6) was so, so good.

Zenne b6 @ obd on 190907

Pours an orange-yellow color with a small, immediately vanishing head.

Smells of dusty oak, matured red wine grapes and a lighter note of blue cheese. Got an additional funk richness to it, with old leather and fermented wheat sticking out the most, among tart lemons.

Drinks soft and easy, with a lighter body and a low carbonation, sparkling up a bit during its finish.

Tastes of an immediate lemon punch, uncompromisingly and teeth melting sour with a strong acetic note. This rather harsh first impression gets balanced by the sherry barrel, adding a light sweetness, sugared red grapes and spicy gingerbread. Finishes with a revitalising sourness, lighter acidity this time, with a maintaining wooden note.

Feels almost a bit too young, as the tartness in this dominates the barrel quite a bit. There are still some lighter barrel notes sticking out from this sourness, giving this a pleasant depth.
