Bottle blend 79, season 18-19. I can't recall the last 3F kriek I had that wasn't 100% 3F lambic, and the difference is stark.

A clear ruby red with a rapidly receding off-white head. The nose has the citrus brightness of the Lindeman's lambic with a light mushroom funk. The cherry character is bright, with light cinnamon, almond, with a pronounced lactic bite, a subtle toasted oak. The palate opens bright, citrusy with lemon and grapefruit to go with a solid cherry character, with cinnamon, almond, a touch of vanillin. Firm oak lingers on the finish. Drying, lemony, bright, cherry, tart lactic acid. Mildly carbonated. Excellent, though the oak character is pretty mild and not particularly expressive of fresh toasted oak.

750 mL bottle. 18/19 Blend 79. Red body. Smells of cherry pie cherries, light warming spiciness, yogurt acidity. Tastes quite sour. Lemon and cherry sourness. Oak, dried grass. Lingering lemon sourness. Medium body and low carbonation. Not really sure what separates this from regular Kriek.

Blend 84, 18/19 season.

Pours a deep, vibrant red with zero head.

Smell is tart with a huge wallop of cherries and cherry jam, with some oak and almond in the back.

Taste is tart, dry and vinous. Massive dose of cherries and cherry jam lead the way, back by notes of oak, almonds and a hint of cherry pit bitterness. Quite complex, but very drinkable.

Mouthfeel is medium, with low carbonation.

Overall, a very drinkable kriek, even though I would have a bit more acidity.
