Lots of foam when it was initially poured, but this is a great beer. Thanks to the group who brought this to a share.

Eternal gratitude goes out to my cousin Sonny for sharing this set at Ebenezer's 2016. Just stunning generosity.

A- A deep and hazy golden, coppery orange body from the 750ml into a short becher glass. The cork appeared to leak a bit and it shows as only a small film of foam forms on the beer and dies out fast. No lacing in sight.

S- Less pungent than the first two Armands sampled but still the general theme remains with intense lactic bacteria, sour fruits, smooth vinous oak barrel and a touch of cheese and barnyard must. A bit of a sulfur, young lambic character here makes you wonder about the average age of this blend.

T- Again, more laidback than the first two Armand brews that were sampled and reviewed. More tannic oak comes through as well as plenty of vinous yet sour grapes. The barrel shows quite a bit with wood coming out but nothing nearly abrasive. A touch of grainy sugars, tons of lactic acid, the slightest bit of acetic vinegar, oxidized sugar, cheese, sour underripe apricots, lemon and horse funk come to mind. Hints of phenolics and band-aid later on.

MF- Surprisingly well carbonated after seeing how the cork was soggy and the bottle leaked somewhat, a low-medium level but lacking the almost effervescent feel of the previous two. Once again some slickness and a very sour ending.

So far the tamest of the three we have sampled but still a beyond great blend of lambic; the depth of flavor in this series is insane even though I have to search for unique descriptors. Funk and sour lactic acid glorified by Armand. Truly blessed to get to sample these.

Smell is hay-forward, kinda like old chamomile tea. Abit of fruity alcohol estery goodness as it hits the palate -- almost banana-like. Lemon, raspberry skin, lingering citrus flavor. Delicious.

Lots of fizzy head that fades away. Golden orange color.

Floral and herbal. Nice funk. Fruity. Orange and lemon peel. Nice amount of sour. Light acidity.

Light bodied. Bubly carbonation. Great feel.

Solid beer for 6 years old! Very well done!

We lined up all four seasons at Sloshfest 2015 a little while ago. Good fun with mediocre people. Cheers gents!

From a 750 into a wine glass

APPEARANCE: Pours a big, four finger, foamy white head with excellent retention. Hazy, darker gamboge orange with a touch of carbonation evident. Foamy cap remains until the end leaving lots of foamy lacing down the glass. Looks most like Lente.

SMELL: Funky aromas with hay, a bit of citrus fruit notes and some acidity as well. Quite musty and dank; probably the most musty of the series, and more forthcoming than Zomer.

TASTE: Funky with barnyard, some light citrus notes, tart lemon and sourness up front. Medium finish with hay and barnyard funk, some bolder musty and dank qualities, with hints of fruity citrus as well. A touch of acidity as well. Stronger than Zomer but without the peach and apricot character. Musty and funky.

PALATE: Medium body with medium levels of carbonation. A little foamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes dry. Some tart lemon lingers. The foamiest of the series.

OVERALL: All of these were solid and I'd put this one as third place. It's bolder than Zomer and has a nice array of musty and funky stuff going on, but the fruity peach and apricot that I enjoyed so much in Zomer was missing. Bolder for sure, but less complex perhaps. Still, this was great and I'm very happy to have been able to try them all in a row. Cheers boys!

Deep orange colouring of white head and some lace. Smell is probably the fruitiest of the seasons, orange, lemon and stone fruit, funky with a massive oak presence. Taste is similar to the nose, funky, orange and peach with tart lemons, dry and puckering, acidic all the way through. Medium carbonation, closer to full body. My clear favourite of the seasons, absolutely outstanding.
