Bottle poured into a Drie Fonteinen gueuze tumbler from the bottle on Christmas eve 2011, this is how I celebrate.
Beer is a little bit of a gusher, so beware. Beer is orangish, amber, hazy with a huge meringue head, lots of staying power, lots of lacing, high retention, stiff peaks in the head, at first the glass consisted mostly of head with little liquid but the liquid emerged slowly, revealing the high carbonated, aggressive looking beer, very awesome.
Aroma is strong, lemon, grass, lots of oak in this one, a little sulfur on the back end, the lactic seems subdued and the acetic is nearly absent, the level of "funk" / musty / mildew in this beer is higher than the other four, smells great.
The carbonic acid burns a little, as the aggressive carbonation runs over your palate, finishing quite dry with this strong basement woodiness on the end. By far the most oak in any of them so far. The forward of the beer is very earthy, a mild sulfur / rubber flavor jumps out at me early on and the finish is really nice. Overall, another huge winner in this series. One of my favorites of the group for sure. I think Zomer was the winner though. I love them all.

Having this last in the series of seasons on-site in Lot, I found this to be the sweetest, by only the finest degree, exhibiting some notes of plum, yet contrastingly perhaps hosting a little more more oak tannin than the rest.
Even still, this runs right along the beautiful excellence of the softly, mildly acidic gueuze expressions the rest of the series showcases.

Bottle: Poured a dirty golden color lambic with a rather large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of funky Brett notes with some tart notes as well as oak. Taste is a complex, mix of tart notes, oak funky barnyard notes with very little sour notes with some light chalk notes also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. World-class gueuze.

Deep saturated amber, a finger of foam and spotty lacing. Aroma and taste are more subdued, soft and oaky with citrus and funk present but receding into the background. Full bodied and well-carbed, unique and expressive. A bit more austere than the rest of the blends, appropriate to the season. 4th place in the series for me, but this is very much Armand Debelder's masterpiece series. Thanks to Mark for sharing the bottles!

Bottle at Akkurat in Stockholm. This is the lowest rated of the Seasons, so I expected a bit of a drop off following Lente and Zomer. I was pleasantly surprised by just how incredible this beer is. My least favorite of the four, but that is all relative. Still incredibly well done and a world class gueuze.

Pours a slightly darker hue than Herfst (still honey in color) with a loose, off-white head that disperses into a frothy band and a soapy slick. Nose is mild and unassuming - notes of citrus, must and cork. Taste is solid; however, really no different than the standard 3F OG in my opinion. Carbonation is a bit too assertive and amps up the acidity. All and all, very good, but doesn't live up to the hype.

Eternal gratitude goes out to my cousin Sonny for sharing this set at Ebenezer's 2016. Just stunning generosity.
A- Deep coppery orange body from the grand corked bottle into my tasting glass. Atop the 4oz pour rises a foamy white head which retains fairly well after reaching about an inch high. Spotty lacing.
S- Bright and pungent funktafied lambic explosion out of the glass. Probably my personal favorite aroma from the four of the set and with this being last, woah. Intensely musty but at the same time fresh sour stone fruits, lemons, lactic acid, sour wine grapes, apple and funky old horse barn. Not very cheesy this time; a cleaner and balanced blend. Raspberry even comes to mind.
T- Pure, unadultered lambic genius in this bottle. The blend brings out the best of both the young and the old as intense lactic acid bacteria and funky yeast marry each other happily. Here comes a big list: lemons, old laidback oak, slight vinous tannins, a touch of wood, underripe apricots, crusty grains, horsey barn, musty old basement, sour wine grapes, apple skin, general citrus zest and a tiny bit of vinegar.
MF- A light to medium overall body with a foamy and somewhat frothy texture. The slickness is apparent and plays off the very, very sour finish. Crisp and suitable for the complex, aged lambic flavors.
My favorite of the four Armands and the last of the set. Old and new lambic come together and are blended to near perfection. Just amazing. In retrospect I am glad I did the series blind and without any knowledge of the general scores before getting into it. The least favorite by the consensus ended up being perhaps my favor Gueuze I have ever had. To each their own. This series of lambic is seriously other-worldly.

Pour is fizzier than the rest of the seasons, and ends up being a slow gusher. Smell is hay, diesel, stone fruit. A fair amount of alcohol on the nose. Taste is fruity, solid amount of 3F funk. Lovely lingering apricot flavor. Least favorite of the seasons, but still a world class Gueuze.
