Quite a few shades darker than amber, nearing brown, but also with hues of brick red under an airy, bubbly off-white foam head.
Being my first Faro, I find that the sweetness wildly transforms the base into an unspiced cider-like beverage with hints of taffy and cotton candy, while still maintaining some wild and lightly tart qualities in the background.
An airy, bubbly carbonation makes for a lighter body, and the more I sit with it, this also changes my perception of the flavor to begin to emulate BRISK iced tea or even an Arnold Palmer!

Draft served from handpump at Lambik-O-Droom during the Twisting the Fate II event.
Dark amber orange, sharp clarity, thin layer of foam, specks of residual lacing.
Aroma is fruity and citric, grapefruit and lemon. Not especially sweet.
Taste is tart with a light sweetness that quickly fades, segueing nicely into funky wet oak and lemon pith.
Medium bodied with lower carb, it has a pleasant spritzy feel like lemon tea.
This was extremely appealing in that it was simple and refreshing, and retained some distinctive 3F house lambic character at the same time. A conservative use of candi sugar works wonders for Faro... Lindemans, Boon, etc. should take note.

This was on handpump at the lambik-o-droom. Someone suggested I get the traditional as opposed to the classic so that is what this was. Dark and cloudy orange, tawny. Aroma and flavor were oddly malty, reminded me of the grains to chew on at Moeder Lambic. Different but not as enjoyable as a geuze or fruit lambic.

Haven't had many Faros, but again this is a mead like sweet beer with a belgian wheat bite at the end. Brown sugar to the face, peach, golden raisin, orange zest and graham cracker all detected. Has slightly grainy texture. Has sour, sweet and bitter notes, but sweet is by far the strongest.

A 200ml pour as Faro Classic, into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass from the hand pump at 3 Fonteinen lambik-O-droom.
Appearance: A cloudy dark orange colour with a one finger white head that had great retention that just stuck around forever and some nice lacing.
Aroma: Amazing aroma, candy sugar, apricot, touch of orange, musty wood, light caramelised apple and caramel.
Taste: Sweet, but not overly so like other faros I’ve tried. Hay, apricot, brown sugar, woody oak and tea.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: An amazing faro. The only one I haven’t found to be overly sweet so far, maybe because of the combination with some good flavours.

Pours a cloudy orange color with a small bubbly head.
Smell is utmost funky, with a lot of blue cheese and dried mushrooms. Some lemon prevails, adding a pleasant crispness to the otherwise surprisingly musty and heavy nose.
Has a medium, soft carbonation, with a pleasant twist between sugars and the tartness, resulting in a well balanced, refreshing beer.
Sugars enhance the lemony sourness of the beer, at the same time they prevent a lot of the more subtle layers of flavor to unfold, which are muted due to the more prominent sugar. The carbonation keeps everything in great balance, adding a light mineralic quality to the taste. Finishes more sour than it began, with lots of ripe lemons lingering on the palate.
Definitely prefer the unsweetened version over this one, since it is synergizing on a whole different level, allowing a more intriguing depth to unfold.
