Huge thanks to sweemzander fro bringing this bottle to our tasting. Dan you are the man!
Bottle poured into my tasting glass.
A: Golden yellow hue. Full white head blasts to the top of my glass. Soapy lace.
S: Funky tart blast. Solid amount of old dusty library books, earthy, tart lemons and green apples. Smells like a great gueuze to me.
T: Dusty, earthy, lemon and green apple. Mouth puckering lactic sour.
M: Medium to light body. Bone dry finish.
D: Overall very nice. So glad I had the chance to try this legend.

Clear golden apricot appearance with light loose white head, and sparse delicate lacing. Hay, must, oak, mild pleasant tart, slight citrus fruitiness, horse blanket. Medium body, soft carbonation. Lovely still!

Huuuuuuge thanks to rudzud, never thought I'd try this beast. Review # 7000!! 1991 vintage.
Light fizzy head medium lower retention, light lacing, hazy golden orange color
Nose quite nice, juicy apricot peachy stone fruit, light funk and grassy, little salty brine and earthy funk, acidity, soft funk, little oaky
Taste wow, super juicy fruit and soft funk, grassy with light barnyard funk and hay like, like soft funky cheese (but not bad cheesy funk) and good acidity, apricot, unripe peach, light oaky, tannin notes, soft buttery French oak and pillowy, dry soft finish, more lingering fruit and tart notes
Mouth is soft buttery, medium lighter bod, medium lighter carb, light acidity
Overall really friggen awesome, incredible, so much great fruit, soft funk, so complex depth, I can def see why it has so much clout!

A beer I never thought I would have, traded a Mimosa for it two treats years ago. Who know when I'll get to drink with these people again so it's time to share it. Review #3800.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice slightly hazy honey hue with a great fizzy head that fades to leave light wisps. Just great.
S - Big aromas of stone fruit and apricot, hay, grass, light acidity, funk. Phenomenal musty citrus and oak.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with lovely stone fruit and bright lemons. Incredible funk and barnyard hay, bright acidity. Just a flash of corkage on the finish. Lingering old musty basement as well. Utterly spot on.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean. The finish is pleasant and not overly acidic. Lingering sharpness.
O - Overall this was a phenomenal beer. Something I never thought I would get to try let alone actually own. This is beyond description and the company shared with makes it even better. Jared, Kyle, Tim, and Francois I'm grateful for all the memories and thrilled to be able to share this bottle with you all.

A 750ml bottle at 1420, 1998 vintage, with a best before date of 2010. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen gueuze glass.
Appearance: After a careful pour, it was a mostly clear golden orange colour with a one finger white head that had decent retention, while leaving only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Slight musty dusty notes, hay, funky, citrusy lemon and oak.
Taste: Complex goodness. Lightly sour, funk, barnyard, musty, hay, citrusy lemon, green apple, apple skin and oak.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Wow, just so lucky and happy I got to try this while there are still bottles around. To be honest, I wouldn’t know if it is past its prime yet, but what I drank was very balanced and had wonderful complexity and was just an absolute joy to drink. Must try if you can still find and afford it.

Bottle. What a treat. This bitch must be expensive! Pours a cloudy orange color. Aroma was really cool A little bit of cork and a whole lot of musty, aged, earthen smells. I swear it almost smelled like saltwater a bit. The blood and bones of the earth! Flavor was very deep and pungent. It's about ~21 years old? It held up and you could tell it was raring to get loose from the bottle. I was just really impressed with how the flavors aged and grew. Still maintained some carbonation. The feel was rich. Lasting flavor. The tart and sour ichor from the days of Pangaea.

750 mL bottle. Big head. Deep orange. Smells oxidized. Citrus. Deep oakiness. Oxidization kinda overpowers, though. Tastes brighter. Lemon. Some orange. Oxidation behind it. Oak. A little cardboard. High carbonation. Swirling helps. Oxidation is tough to get past, but it’s nice.
