Pours deep red almost red wine like with a small pink head. Not much pop when I unleashed the cork. Very little head despite an intense pour although there was some good lacing.

Very strong cherry aroma almost like some of the jammier US wilds. Some of the normal 3F funk is present, but cherries seem to dominate them. Not necessarily bad as the cherry is pretty good.

Flavor is just as intense with cherries. Very jammy almost like a fresh Upland lambic. Not a ton of funk as the sweet cherry covers it up although there is some acidity at the end. Very juicy.

Despite the lack of carbonation on the pour, there is still enough here as the mouthfeel is a bit prickly. Fairly light bodied finishing juicy and sour.

I really had no idea what to expect from this one, but I really enjoyed it. Strong fresh cherry jamminess overpowers some, but the flavor is so good it doesn't matter. Not as complex as some other 3F, but delicious nonetheless. I wish I would've ordered more

Poured from a 12.7 bottle into a 3F tumbler. Acquired in a trade.

Well, the appearance certainly matches it's name. Pours a deep maroon, cherry colored opaque body with a big fizzy "intense red" head that reduces rapidly to leave very little retention and no lacing. I've never seen a beer quite so red!

Big cherry aromas emanate from the glass - definitely get some sourness in there too, lactic tartness and a definite mustyness characteristic of belgian lambics. Very fruity, very sour.

I let this one warm to room temperature over the course of sipping it. It gets more sour and the cherry gets more pronounced once it's warmed up. From the start though, strong lactic sour cherry, fruit skins which impart a drying tannic character, musty basement, light oak, finished by a dry sourness that sits on the tongue.

The mouthfeel is beautifully refreshing.. I had to resist the urge to gulp down the whole thing upon opening it. Medium carbonation, medium-light body.

Overall just as described, although honestly I was expecting more "in your face" cherry with this beer. Instead it was nicely balanced and pretty dry and acidic. Very nice.

375ml poured into Cantillon wine glass. Bottle date of 11-13-2012. Best by 2017.

Appearance: Pours an entrancing ruby garnet color. Vigorous pouring gives me only a wispy, thin, pink head.

Smell: Deep, rich aromas of cherries abound in this delightful brew. Clearly the cherries decided to go for a swim in some oak barrels as the pleasant background smell of wood dances about. Fairly one dimensional, but great.

Taste: Can you say "cherry jolly rancher"? This beer tastes exactly like a cherry jolly rancher, but with a touch of sourness. The sweetness of the cherries cuts deep into the lambic/gueuze base. In the background, I can taste the base beer and it's really nice. Basement funk, barnyard, and very crisp.

Mouthfeel: Medium-low carbonation. Medium-light bodied. Very refreshing.

Overall: A tastefully done kriek. The cherries are really in your face, but almost taste slightly fake. For that reason, I cannot get behind this beer. My vote is to stick with Cantillon Kriek as the #1 cherry beer.

Thanks, www.etregourmet.com!

Deep crimson with nearly zero carbonation. Small amount of visible bubbles and a very minimal head. Left the glass oily on the way down.

The aroma is similar to 3F's Oude Kriek, which is a fine, fine thing. Big cherry notes, moderate lactic sourness, some oak, and good amounts of gueuze-like funk. Complete, and near perfect for the style. Loved it.

Big cherry and juice like characteristics throughout along with good amounts of oak, earthy funk. Very, very drinkable. Moderate sourness. This isn't nearly as sour as other krieks, even Oude Kriek itself. It's tasty, but I prefer the flavor of the regular Oude Kriek.

Medium bodied with nearly no carbonation. Almost juice like, but fuller in body.

The smell is incredible, the taste is good, and the mouthfeel is lacking. I believe Oude Kriek is the better beer, but I would just be nitpicking. This is still tasty stuff.
