Thanks to Jeff for this one. Bottle 1207 of 3000. 750ml capped bottle into a Surly teku. Shared with schen9303.

Nose is floral and woody. Hints of grape, flour, grass, citrus fruit, brown sugar and funk. Really unique and very aromatic. A touch powdery on the palate. Notes of wine grape, oak, peat, booze, coriander and peppercorn. A touch too sweet with a mellow tartness. End is spicy with more wet wood. Solid. Kind of a weird combination of flavors. Fluffy, foamy and frothy in the mouth. Sparkles on the palate and finishes quenching, funky and dry. Very good.

Its hard to say how I feel about this beer. Certainly one-of-a-kind though.

This beer pours a hazy red-orange color. The head is a half in height, and recedes quickly into sparse lacing. The aroma is barnyard, wet hey, leather, blood oranges, hibiscus, spice box. The taste is quite dank. It is fruitier than the aroma with the barnyard, funky notes almost nonexistent. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with low carbonation for the style. Overall, this is a decent beer, but there are many, many better saisons out there that I would rather drink.

This is really hard to review. The aroma has huge notes of banana, tropical fruit, and farmhouse funk. Sweet and tart overall. Somewhat putrid rotten fruit aroma as well, which should be disgusting, but I can't stop smelling it, like staring at a terrible car accident.

The taste is similar, with overripe tropical fruit and banana somewhat balanced by light funky and spicy notes. I am a little less forgiving of the rotten fruit in the taste than the aroma.

Moderate carbonation, medium body with a tart, borderline dry, finish. Overall, this is a huge Saison, driven by very overripe fruit notes. Fascinating beer overall, but not sure how much I actually like it.

Edit: Days later I am thinking about drinking it again. That says something.

On tap at brewery. Pours a slight hazed golden yellow color with a white head smell is classic saison with funk, lemon, grass and citrus, taste follows nose, lemon citrus grass with funky yeast with subtle hops, mouth feel is dry with a white wine and hop finish, i like saison's and i liked this one.
