Notes: Our annual Comicon special, and collaboration with web comic Cyanide and Happiness. This Apricot IPA pours a bright orangey pale, with a huge nose of Mosaic and Simcoe Hops, and solid apricot mid palate. Brewed with over eight pounds per barrel of Apricots.

22 oz bomber purchased from Lifesource Natural Grocer in Salem OR $4.99 Pours a cloudy burnt gold colour with a large attractive creamy white head. A good floral hoppy and stone fruit aroma from this one. Beer is very nice taste, creamy hoppiness ( if that is possible) and the apricot is very natural..actually like sucking on the stone o the fruit. Good substantial creamy smooth mouth feel with lowish carbonation..almost like an English cask ale. Very nice ale..would have again. Would like to see this on cask!!

Bottle poured into a Speakeasy Ales & Lagers pint glass

A: Pours super hazy sorta golden brown with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces well.

S: Fruity, floral, light citrus, hints of pine, bready, and a little caramel malt sweetness.

T: Floral, fruity, apricot, citrus, grapefruit, hints of lemon and tangerine, bready, and a little caramel malt sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Not overwhelmingly fruity and sweet, nicely balanced. Given the comic strip that inspired this brew I was expecting something darker, but this was still a fun one to try.

22oz bottle split between a pair of shaker pints. I can't find a date. Brought to me by the glorious @mr-jj.

Pours ugly. Off-gray/amber in color, very hazy, but a nice big head that fades slowly and leaves some nice lacing. Appears to be lightly carbonated. Smell is very nice, though. Beautiful tropical / floral aroma, slight cilantro-y fresh plant aroma.

Taste is good -- reflects the aroma in a lot of ways, but an accentuated soapiness is a bit of a turnoff.

Mouthfeel is surprisingly velvety. Overall...this beer is interesting and good, but imperfect. Try it if you see it.

Look: Typical IPA colors. Little cloudy orange.

Smell: Great citrus and malt smells. Really big malt smell.

Taste: Great balance of citrus and hops. You really get that apricot. As it warms up it balances out to where its balanced and not as hoppy.

Feel: Typical IPA feel. Light and crisp.

Overall: Great starter IPA kinda on the hoppy side but good citrus flavor and gets better as it warms up.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and slight unripe apricot aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, earth, and slight unripe apricot flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with lots of citrus forward hop qualities, but the apricot qualities are quite subtle.

Serving type: bottle.

Does C&H proud,Kinda murky but appealing to your senses, and when you take it all in you find the bitterness is tempered by its sweetness....still makes me want to don a purple shirt and stab someone in the eye.<(inside C&H joke, don't report)

Had on tap at Flat Tail's brewery in Corvallis, OR. The beer poured light and hazy with a small head that left a little lacing after things died down. Good aroma, a little bit of bready sweetness with some apricot aroma. Taste was similar, bready malt, apricot, and a small amount of pine/resin from the hops to keep things in balance. Lighter body and a bit watery with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Overall an okay IIPA but nothing remarkable sticks out about it.
