they cant all be extremely heady india pales and wood aged wild beers. sometimes its nice to have something clean and sessionable in the land of insane beer, and i think this serves that rather adequately, although its definitely not my favorite example of the style. one of my first beers from these guys, i think it has some real pros. clean and clear, bright and light, and really pretty sessionable. a good compliment to heavy food, saucy, fried, spicy, and the like. its a little flat though, needs more carbonation, and very little about the grain base says german in origin to me. its too light there, maybe a little too sweet and sort of corny, not dusty and dry and cereal forward like i like it to be in this style. the yeast is also flavorless, which makes this a little one dimensional for me, but its easy enough drinking even despite all that, and when ice cold is actually a very refreshing brew. it looks like the other stuff these guys do is a little more robust, but this is a perfectly drinkable and unoffensive blonde ale. not as good as a kolsch to me, but thats a fine point of debate i suppose...

this is a very crisp, clean tasting beer. I don't have much experience with the kolsch style. It does have almost an hefeweizen character in that the hops are light and their is a tart finish. I will definitely buy this again!

Clear gold with one finger of white head that goes away fast. No lace.
Light bread crust malt a tiny touch of grassy hop.
Taste is bread malt with a very small amount of hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is smooth and carbonation level just right. So it goes down easy. No hint of alcohol in the taste.
Overall an alright beer but for tail gating the regular suspects would do as well. Might get points for the craft brew pedigree.

Good Kolsch style offering. An easy drinking beer, but nothing to write home about.

Pours a hazy light gold with fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Smells of honey and steely noble hops. Slightly fruity taste with honey and cereal with slightly bitter finish. Thin refreshing mouthfeel. Overall a nice easy drinking warm weather beer.

Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, fruit, and slight grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, fruit, and slight grass flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable, but nothing too exciting for the style.

Very bland and watery, even for a Kölsch. Looks like Coors Light, but with less of a smell. Got nothing on the nose. The taste was much of the same..

I honestly don't know where these bad reviews come from... It's a Kolsch style ale, nothing more, nothing less.

It's refreshing, light, and easy to drink with a slight sweetness on the bottom end. I would definitely drink this again.
