Pours a nice golden body, but the head is pretty poor, what starts out soon disappears.
Aroma is strange, initial scent I citrus but it lasts only the first sniff, there after all you get are hops. Still pretty inviting.
Taste is on the sharp side, a touch bitter, malty bitter but seems to be lacking something in the flavour department for me. Seems a bit wishy washy.
Feel is ok, goes down easy enough but does leave a dry aftertaste which is bizarre given it's wishy washy taste.
Overall it's not too bad, not sure this is an IPA despite it's marketing. It is certainly a Belgian Blonde brewed with additional hops, and for note it is now brewed at 5.5% not 6% as originally logged.
Still if you see it, give it a whirl, similar to Leffe Cascade Royale, La Chouffe, but not as good as either.

This is my first ipa ever, so I can not really compare it with something.
It tastes really nice. I expected a really bitter taste, but it tastes really fruity. I bit bitter, but not too much.

Fizzy small head cloudy orange colour. Fruity citrus smell, taste is malty and solidly bitter, spicy and watery. Almost threatens to be a tripel. Not as refreshing or thirst quenching as a good lager but more so than a normal IPA. A pleasant tingling bitterness in the mouth and high drinkability. Good stuff.

Simply listed as the Vedett IPA at the Mushroom bar in Bordeaux, there's hardly anything "extra ordinary" about this IPA. The beer had a nice, somewhat perfumy IPA nose, with some nice floral characteristics, which were replicated pretty closely on the palate. The beer was a fairly lean and dry on the finish, with some light bitterness to buoy the underlying golden ale characteristics. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, and so drinkability was pretty decent.
An easy to enjoy and appreciate beer from Duvel Moortgat. Not sure I would order this again (even here in Bordeaux, where options are limited), but it's decent enough.

The colour is gold-yellow, the liquid is clear. The two finger head is compact and golden, it sinks slowly leaving some fine lacing.
The smell got notes of American hops, hints of roasted nuts and phenolic spices. Some exotic fruits.
The first taste is very bitter. Then, yeasty-spicy phenolic notes emerge with a touch of soap. Light to medium body. Citric peels in the aftertaste as well as yeasty notes that makes me think of witbier. Tart citric acid, caramel and lime in the finish.
The carbonation is strong; the mid-sized bubbles are sharp and long lived. The light liquid is somewhat sharp.
Quite an unbalanced beer, the flavours don’t work well together.

Beer bottle (33 cl.) purchased from la Cervoiserie, and tasted in 2014.
Appearance : orange color with white foamy head.
Smell : hoppy and floral aromas.
Taste & mouthfeel : citrus notes and hint of hoppy spice, hop is quite mild for an IPA.
Overall : a good beer in the Belgian style IPA.

Bought from a small foreign grocery store in Shanghai China. Poured into a pint glass from the 33cL stubby bottle.
A: The beer is a hazy pure orange color topped with a foamy white head that doesn't last very long. Lots of carbonation inside.
S: Tangerine and then orange peel most noticeable. Somewhat balanced by a nice sweetness and some yeast.
T: Nice balanced character, bitter up front but then mellowing out before a drying finish. Citrus peel but also some pine or floral. Hard to make out in the middle. Good sweetness in there, but again balanced in a great way.
Overall: Very pleasing refreshing drink. Compare to La Chouffe in character. Great find in China. I will have this again.
