A very transparent look. Smell is very soft, pretty non-existant. Taste is quite regular. The foam fades away quite quick. Feel is not bad, could be better, though. Overall, is a regular beer.

As reviewed for Vedett Extra Blond.
Very pale yellow. Lots of effervescence but only a 1 cm head.
Grainy aroma with a little malt.
Standard euro lager flavour with maybe a little more yeast and sweetness.
Preferable to other euro lagers.

Tap at kaiba in Shanghai.

Big creamy fluffy 1.5f.head fades slowly nice foamy mountains and lacing everywhere, clear golden pilsner blond color.

Nose is interesting, something wrong thought, a sulfur and phenolic chemical cleaner fruity ester, sweet blond malts, touch lemony, weird fruity like infection almost def Brett with too much oxygen.

Taste brings sweet malts out front, golden blond malts, light pilsner and lager like, with sweet lager malts, toasty, into big grassy almost spicy hops, mild fruity esters, touch of phenols and minerality otherwise not bad. No idea where the horrible nose came from. Finish dry light crisp, lingering bitter grassy spicy hops.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, little crisp, decent carb, little soft lager.

Overall, it's not bad if you plug your nose. Taste wasn't bad so no idea where the horrible nose came from.

Solid beer in the style. Nothing offputting, light and crisp. Not something I'd reach for, but happy to try and happy to drink one at a BBQ.

Golden colour with a white head. Much of the taste comes from the malts, with a slightly bitter hop taste. Average beer. Nothing special.

It could be said that given the choice of excellent beers from Belgium this is a poor beer but it is not. It is a lightweight beer for sure but has a pleasant malt and hops after taste and is refreshing. In a nutshell it is a better quality beer for session drinking than say Heineken or Amstel.

330ml green bottle with a BB date stamp March 2016.
With a panini in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Belgian Heineken probably a touch more hoppy but should be interchangeable. It even has a mild skunky note but nonetheless seems clean.

330ml can poured into snifter

A: Pale, clear, medium head which didn’t stick around that long, decent amount of lacing.

S: Bready, sour dough, some Duvel yeast.

T: It followed nose, as well as having a slight malty sweetness.

M: Moderate carbonation, crisp, went down well.

O: Basically a lighter, crisper, bottom fermenting Duvel .
