The appearance has a nice looking hazy sort of brown almost orange colored body with a decent half fingered white foamy head that dissipates within about a minute. The lacing is sparse but light and speckles here and there. The smell is absolutely awesome - that typical "iced apples" smell I always get from a Tripel with some pears coming in nice and sweet and yet there’s a nice spicy tone that kicks in to just give it the right balance. The taste has a nice spicy yet sweet "iced apple" flavoring that just makes me feel really good. "Iced apple" aftertaste leaves with a quick and somewhat dry light apple-ish sort of finish On the palate, its about a light to medium sort of body that has a decent sessionable aspect to it. The carbonation is not too harsh and not too smooth, just an overall goodness for a Tripel. Overall, in my opinion, this is a very good Tripel. Seek this and you will find a stellar Tripel!

From the Belly Bottle a dark amber body with a soft white lump that turns over a lion odoring to bread malt and phenols also in the drink a soft bitter co2 pushes the details to taste after that full and also volatile

This one is definitely an advert for not judging a book by it's cover!
A touch cloudy with little head, but my my what a great hit where it matters, in the trap!
A super smooth and slightly strong feel to this one, but when you're opening a 10% beer you expect to taste some strength otherwise what's the point? A combination of malt and fruit, a liquid version of a fig roll biscuit.
I certainly think this is one of the better tripels, and certainly worth going out of your way to purchase. As we say in this part of Ireland....."get dat daarn yer neck"

In Belgian, this beer name means "Married Sow."

Pours darkish and semi-filtered. Pretty standard for the style. Nice, white head.

Smells thick, alcoholic, fruity, and peppery. Complex and well balanced. I'm kind of shocked, because of this beer's reputation, because this is excellent. Corriander, plum, lemon, raisin, and booze.

Tastes not quite as excellent as the aroma, but still very good. Light fruit up front--raisin heavy, with a bit of apples. The middle is kind of blank, which knocks off some points, but there are some hints of honey. And then the finish is very busy, with apples, plums, honey, sugar, and alcohol.

This is a slightly messy beer, but overall quite satisfying. The middle of the sip is lacking, but the end is like fireworks.
