Deep orange colour, one finger of white head with some lace. Smell is of bubblegum, light banana, yeasty with lightly tart funky notes, moderate hop bill. Taste is yeasty and lightly sweet, bubblegum, medicinal candy notes, quite boozy tasting as well. Medium-high carbonation, full body, medium weight. Quite boozy and medicinal tasting at first but seems to fade as it arms a bit, far better tripels out there than this, still decent but probably wont come back to this one to be honest.

Poured from bottle with a drink by date of 9 13 2013 into tulip glass.

A light copper color, different from the golden hazy hue typical of Belgian triple but it looks great and pours a massive golden head with big retention, carbonation easily visible to the top.

Aroma is dried fruit, like light pineapple and slight orange peel with clove. The Belgian yeast is very present and inviting. Spot on for Belgian Triple.

Taste is very peppery, not complex but some malt and sweetness is present.

Mouthfeel is good, but doesn't stand out. Kind of dry, no creaminess. Balanced carbonation.

Solid offering, drier and more peppery than I am used to but if you like something without massive candied sugar malt profile that finishes crisp, dry you will enjoy his one.

Sourish tasting tripel, darker than most in this style. slight aroma of vinegar, but taste is smooth and acerbic at the same time. Some wood, caramel and grass come through in the flavor. A little different, but excellent.
